ZHIYUN TECH Crane 3S Electronic Stabilizer (SmartSling Handle)

From intense chase filming to studio shooting, different types of filming environment require high capacity and flexibility of filming equipment. Keeping filmmakers in mind, ZHIYUN considered that the Crane series can be even better to adapt to the strict and unpredictable filming environment. 

Now, introducing the new CRANE 3S, the legendary gimbal built on a heritage of innovation with magnificent motors and the new modular design, which aims for wider application and intuitive control.

Re-engineering for more ambitious camera setups
It is not simply an upgrade, but a rebuild. The CRANE 3S is built with the new SUPER motors, which allow you to achieve max. 6.5 kg payload for a wide variety of camera configurations.

Extendable arm. Increased flexibility
Greater compatibility is the goal, but flexibility is provided. For larger cinema camera combos, users can attach an extension module to the roll shaft for more space, while for smaller DSLR combos, the extension module can be detached for greater portability.

Modular design. Versatile shooting
On the CRANE 3S, the handle is detachable with two options provided: TransMount EasySling Handle and TransMount SmartSling Handle. You can mount the EasySling handle to extend the handle for comfort in vertical and suspended operation, or choose to mount the SmartSling handle with an intuitive control panel and OLED screen, for direct adjustment of the camera and gimbal parameters, or combine them!

Cross-compatibility. You can imagine
To complete challenging shooting tasks, the CRANE 3S offers a versatile solution, thanks to its cross-compatibility. The handle mods are easily separated and provide multiple thread holes of different sizes for mounting accessories. The modular design allows for greater compatibility with the CRANE 3S, such as with motorized dolly, boom, cable cam, Easyrig, etc.

The CRANE 3S provides the ultimate reliability that users can rely on. The reinvented locking system can lock all three axes without noticeable wobble. The modular design is integrated with dual locks to ensure that the camera is 100% secure on the gimbal during travel or storage.

Continuous uptime supported by PowerPlus
In addition to the battery insertion, the CRANE 3S offers a DC-IN port that supports up to 25.2V input for direct charging. The exciting new TransMount PowerPlus Battery Pack can accommodate 6*18650 batteries, giving your gimbal more strength to adapt to constant intense movements and serving as a compact, fast-charging power bank for your devices.

To facilitate powerful capabilities in various shooting environments, CRANE 3S is powered by a new algorithm system that enables phenomenal responsive speed and smoothness. In fast-action shooting, CRANE 3S is able to withstand high winds and G-forces without compromise.

55° correctly calculated: wider view
The properly angled 55° roller axis is designed for unobstructed viewing and allows enough room to mount large cinema camera combos.

Improved zoom and focus system
To meet the needs of cinematography, larger lens mounts are added to the zoom and focus system. The focus wheel is equipped with a whiteboard to mark a focus range. Zooming can be performed synchronously via the SmartSling Handle.

Triple control, shoot at your leisure
ZHIYUN takes care of the needs of all filmmakers. With ZHIYUN gimbal and the TransMount Image Transmission System, there are three control options available to filmmakers who work in the film crew or work alone: gimbal control, smartphone, or motion sensor controller.

ViaTouch 2.0 bridges the communication gap between your gimbal, camera, and monitoring devices through a dedicated phone app, allowing you to intuitively adjust multiple camera and gimbal parameters with perfect synergy. (*ZY Play APP and TransMount Image Transmission Transmitter are required to utilize the feature.)

The TransMount Image Transmission System supports zoom/focus control via the phone app or remote control. You can even customize the sensitivity of the zoom/focus control to your own needs for an optimal experience.

For the first time in the industry, a visualized remote motion control system is introduced – ViaTouch 2.0. Filmmakers will be able to control the movement of the gimbal while monitoring photos via smartphones or monitors.

Timelapse Master
The timelapse feature of the gimbal is enhanced with the TransMount Image Transmission System. Now, not only can you remotely monitor photos, but you can also continue filming after exiting the app.
