SmallRig's "Black Mamba" cage kit for Canon EOS R6 Mark III / R6 Mark II 5960 is designed to enhance manual operation, improve portability, and allow expansion with accessories.
The complete kit includes a camera cage, an HDMI and USB-C cable clip, and the exclusive "Black Mamba" top strap, all embodying Black Mamba's sleek and aggressive design language that combines aesthetics and practical functionality for photographers.
The ergonomic top handle provides a comfortable grip, making it easy to shoot at low angles and transport. The cage features multiple mounting points, including 1/4"-20 tapped holes, 1/4"-20 locating holes, 3/8"-16 tapped holes, 3/8"-16 ARRI locating holes, a cold shoe, an Ark-compatible interface, a QD fitting, and grooves for handles. These versatile options allow users to connect monitors, microphones, tripods, follow focus systems, straps, and other accessories, meeting a wide range of video creation needs.
For a secure attachment, the cage is mounted to the camera using a 1/4"-20 bottom screw and dual side locating blocks, ensuring anti-twist stability.
The Arca-Swiss-compatible quick-release interface on the bottom allows direct mounting to Arka-type tripods (ID 4353 , 4060 ) and DJI RS 2, RSC 2, RS 3, RS 3 Pro, RS 4, and RS 4 Pro gimbals, facilitating quick transitions between handheld camera, tripod, and gimbal setups.
The ergonomic Black Mamba top grip is coated with silicone for added safety and comfort in cold weather, ensuring a firm grip during long handheld shooting sessions.
In addition, the included HDMI and USB-C cable clip features a thumbscrew for quick attachment and assembly, preventing accidental disconnections and ensuring reliable data transmission throughout the shoot.
Note:
It is not compatible with the original DJI RS 4 Mini Quick Release Plate.
When used with the 59 60 cage, the Canon R6 Mark II is incompatible with the included cable tie. For this configuration, purchase the 4272 cable tie separately.
