The Sony FX5 6779 V-Mount Cage HawkLock Kit is designed for the Sony FX5, offering camera protection, accessory expansion, support for manual use and a mounting solution for a compact V-Mount battery during extended recording.
The V-Mount battery plate assembles quickly and has a foldable design for easy storage and transport. The cage features a modular design and includes a top mounting plate and a U-shaped cage, allowing for flexible configurations for different shooting scenarios. Each module is fixed at two or more points for stable, anti-twist mounting. Protective pads are integrated into the camera's contact points to help prevent scratches.
The ergonomic top handle offers a comfortable grip and is quickly mounted via the NATO loop. Its closed-back design helps prevent accidental drops when shooting at low angles. A dedicated clip for the HDMI cable helps protect the port and keep signal transmission stable while shooting. The wrist strap has an ergonomic design to reduce strain on the wrist and improve safety during extended handheld recordings.
The cage also includes 1/4"-20 tapped holes, 1/4"-20 locating holes, 3/8"-16 tapped holes, ARRI locating holes, a NATO rail, an Arca type quick-release plate, a QD fitting, a wrist grip fitting and more for attaching a wide range of professional accessories.
Notes
- When using the top plate, confirmed compatible shoe accessories include the Sony ECM-B1M, ECM-M1, ECM-B10 microphones, and the DJI Mic 2 Hot Shoe Adapter. Confirmed incompatible hot shoe accessories include the Sony ECM-W3, ECM-W3S, and ECM-W2BT microphones.
- When using the Sony XLR handle (XLRH2B) or Sony viewfinder (DVFEL1B), the top plate must be removed first.
