SMALLRIG 6778 HawkLock Cage Kit with Sony FX5 Top Grip
The Sony FX5 6778 HawkLock Cage Kit with Top Grip is designed to protect the camera body, offer multiple mounting interfaces for accessory expansion, and support low-angle shooting.
The cage has a modular design and includes a top mounting plate and a U-shaped cage, allowing for flexible configurations for different shooting scenarios. Each module is fixed at two or more points for stable, anti-twist mounting. Protective pads are integrated into the camera's contact points to help prevent scratches.
The ergonomic top handle offers a comfortable grip and is quickly mounted via the NATO loop. Its closed-back design helps prevent accidental drops when shooting at low angles. A dedicated clip for the HDMI cable helps protect the port and keep signal transmission stable while shooting. The wrist strap has an ergonomic design to reduce strain on the wrist and increase safety during extended handheld shooting.
The cage also includes 1/4"-20 tapped holes, 1/4"-20 locating holes, 3/8"-16 tapped holes, ARRI locating holes, a NATO rail, an Arca type quick-release plate, a QD fitting, a wrist grip fitting and more for attaching a wide range of professional accessories.
The bottom Arc-type quick-release plate slides directly onto DJI RS 2 / RSC 2 / RS 3 / RS 3 Pro / RS 4 / RS 4 Pro / RS 5 stabilizers and Arca-type tripods, allowing for quick transitions between handheld shooting, gimbal shooting, and tripod shooting.
Notes
- When using the top plate, confirmed compatible shoe accessories include the Sony ECM-B1M, ECM-M1, ECM-B10, and the DJI Mic 2 Hot Shoe Adapter. Confirmed incompatible shoe accessories include the Sony ECM-W3, ECM-W3S microphones, and ECM-W2BT.
- When using the Sony XLR grip (XLRH2B) or the Sony viewfinder (DVFEL1B), the top plate should be removed first.
