SMALLRIG 6774 Cage Modular Sony FX5
The Sony FX5 6774 Modular Cage is designed to protect the camera body, offering a variety of mounting interfaces for accessory expansion. The cage has a modular design and includes top mounting plates and a U-shaped frame. Protective pads are integrated into the camera's contact points to help prevent scratches.
XLR Grip and Viewfinder compatibility
The top mounting plates are secured with two screws each and can be removed for compatibility with Sony's XLR handle (XLRH2B) and viewfinder (DVFEL1B). The U-shaped cage is secured by three 1/4"-20 screws on both sides and the bottom, providing a stable and torsion-resistant mount.
Ergonomic Design and HDMI Protection
The battery compartment features a lever design that better follows the contours of the camera body, improving finger rest and grip comfort. A dedicated HDMI cable clip helps secure the port and maintain stable signal transmission while shooting.
Wide Accessory Compatibility
The cage includes 1/4"-20 tapped holes, 1/4"-20 locating holes, 3/8"-16 tapped holes, ARRI locating holes, a NATO rail, an Arca quick-release plate, a wrist grip slot, and more for attaching a wide range of professional accessories. In addition to allowing for quick installation and removal, the NATO rail and Arca quick-release plate feature a non-fall design on both ends to enhance safety even in demanding shooting environments.
Notes
- When using the top plate with the NATO rail, confirmed compatible hot shoe accessories include the Sony ECM-B1M, ECM-M1, ECM-B10 microphones, and the DJI Mic 2 hot shoe adapter. Confirmed incompatible hot shoe accessories include the Sony ECM-W3, ECM-W3S, and ECM-W2BT microphones.
- When using the Sony XLR grip (XLRH2B) or Sony viewfinder (DVFEL1B), all top plates must be removed first.
