By combining the robustness of Software Defined Radio (SDR) with advanced Wi-Fi optimizations, DJI SDR Transmission 2 breaks the barriers of traditional transmitters, delivering DCI 4K visual fidelity at 60fps in 10-bit HDR with imperceptible latency.
Immersive DCI 4K/60fps 10-bit HDR Streaming
Gone are the days of compressed monitoring at 720p or 1080p.
DJI SDR Transmission 2 transmits a DCI 4K video signal at 60 frames per second with 10-bit HDR color depth.
This allows the director, cinematographer (DP) and client to see exactly what the camera is capturing – with true dynamic range, detailed shadows and perfect colour fidelity.
Flexible TX/RX (Switchable Transceiver) Architecture
Forget about rigid modules that only work in one direction.
Each unit of DJI SDR Transmission 2 features an intelligent transceiver design, which means that the same device can be configured as a Transmitter (TX) or as a Receiver (RX) with a simple tap on the interface. This drastically reduces the need to have redundant equipment in inventory.
Auto Channel 2.0 Technology: Intelligent Anti-Interference Response
On complex sets, the presence of dozens of Wi-Fi networks, mobile phones and other transmitters can destroy the video signal.
The new Auto Channel 2.0 scans the radio frequency spectrum in real time.
If it detects any noise or signal conflict, the system imperceptibly changes frequency without causing blackouts, frame tearing, or audio lag.
Massive Multi-Group Mode (1 TX up to 8 RX with Control)
1 Transmitter for 8 Receivers: A single transmitter in the chamber can simultaneously power up to 8 receivers in active control mode.
The director, the client, the focus puller and the lighting team can have dedicated individual feeds.
Scale for Large Sets
The system supports the simultaneous operation of up to 5 transmitters and 40 receivers in the same physical space, without cross-interference.
Deep Integration with the DJI Ronin Ecosystem
SDR Transmission 2 isn't just for watching video — it lets you control the camera and gimbal from a distance.
When mounted on gimbals such as the DJI RS 4 Pro, RS 4 or Ronin 2, the system allows you to remotely control the recording start/stop, ISO adjustment, shutter speed, aperture and focus control functions via DJI controllers and monitors.
Mobile Monitoring and Versatile Feeding
USB-C Direct Connection: You can connect the receiver directly to a smartphone or tablet (iOS/Android) via USB-C to turn your mobile device into a high-resolution field monitor.
Multiple Power Sources
It can be powered by Sony NP-F type batteries, via the USB-C Power Delivery (PD) cable or directly through the accessory power port of Ronin stabilizers.

1. Film Productions and Feature Films (Multigroup Monitoring)
On large, multi-team sets, a single transmitter in the camera sends the DCI 4K HDR signal simultaneously to up to 8 dedicated receivers.
The director, cinematographer (DP), client and lighting designer follow the frame with absolute colour fidelity and zero interference.
2. Focus Remote Control by Focus Puller (Ultra-Low Latency)
With an imperceptible latency of just 35 ms, the 1st Focus Puller can operate a wireless Follow Focus from a distance. Real-time response ensures millimetre sharpness at the focus point, even in dynamic shots shot with very bright apertures (e.g. f/1.2 or f/1.4).
3. Coverage of Live Events, Sports and Festivals (Noisy RF Environments)
In indoor venues or stadiums with thousands of mobile phones and Wi-Fi networks creating noise, Auto Channel 2.0 continuously scans the radio frequency spectrum and changes channels automatically without signal dropouts. The camera can move up to 3 km away from the region while keeping the feed stable.
4. Gimbal / Stabilizer Operation (DJI Ronin Recording)
Mounted on a DJI RS 4 Pro or Ronin 2, the transceiver transmits two-way video and control data.
The gimbal operator focuses on physical movements while the remote operator adjusts camera parameters (ISO, shutter, recording start/stop) from a distance, reducing the weight accumulated in the operator's hand.
5. Advertising and Content for Customers in the Field (USB-C Mobile Monitoring)
For smaller crews or agile commercial productions, the receiver connects directly via USB-C to a tablet or smartphone (iOS/Android).
The client or agency director can follow the shooting in real time on a mobile screen without the need to carry heavy field monitors or cables powered by giant batteries.
