SENSOR CLEANING


ESTUDIOPT offers a sensor cleaning service on DSLR and MIRRORLESS cameras. In the case of compact cameras, you should contact us by email at rep@estudiopt.pt.

Sensor cleaning service is available at ESTUDIOPT facilities. In case it is not possible to go to ESTUDIOPT, the service can be activated by filling out the SRE FORM (Service Request).

The sensor cleaning service costs €35. This service is subject to prior booking.

After the service, if there is a need for the item to be sent to the customer's address (mainland Portugal), there will be an additional €7.50 (VAT included) for shipping costs. In the case of Islands, the shipping cost will be €19.50 (VAT included).

Before requesting a sensor cleaning, please ensure that the battery is fully charged.

Cleaning is only on the outer surface of the sensor. Any other dirt will be subject to a diagnosis / budget.

If you have any doubts about the dirtiness of the sensor, take a blurred photo at a uniform texture (blue sky or blank sheet of paper) with an aperture of f/22 or at the tightest aperture that the camera/lens provides. Subsequently, check the photo on the computer with 100% zoom. If you prefer, do an "autolevels" in Photoshop, as it will highlight any dirt that exists.

PRISM CLEANING


ESTUDIOPT offers a prism cleaning service on DSLR cameras.

Prism cleaning service is available at the ESTUDIOPT facility. In case it is not possible to go to ESTUDIOPT, the service can be activated by filling out the SRE FORM (Service Request).

The prism cleaning service has a cost of €55. This service is subject to prior booking.

After the service, if there is a need for the item to be sent to the customer's address (mainland Portugal), there will be an additional €7.50 (VAT included) for shipping costs. In the case of Islands, the shipping cost will be €19.50 (VAT included).

This prism cleaning service does not guarantee the removal of dirt completely. In the event that the prism is damaged or scratched, there will be a need for replacement, and this intervention is subject to a diagnosis / budget. In these cases, both the cost and the time for cleaning or replacement will be different and the customer will be informed in advance.

In case of doubts about the dirt of the prism, just look through the camera's eyepiece, pointing to a uniform texture (blue sky or blank sheet of paper). Carefully examine all areas of the eyepiece to see if there is any dirt.


LENS/OBJECTIVE CLEANING


ESTUDIOPT offers a lens/lens cleaning service.

The lens/objective cleaning service, (cleaning fungi most of the time), does not have a set cost, as it depends on the type of lens, degree of soiling and other factors.

The diagnosis / cleaning budget is carried out in the equipment brands themselves or with official technicians of the brand. The diagnostic value is non-refundable but deductible from the repair/cleaning value:

CANON, FUJIFILM, GODOX, and Other White Brands - 30.00€ tax incl.
SONY - 40.00€ tax incl.
PANASONIC, RICOH - 50.00€ tax incl.
SIGMA - 100.00€ tax incl. 

After the diagnosis / budget is accepted, the cleaning has a foreseeable deadline of another three to four weeks. This is just a prediction.

Do not send any article without the authorization of ESTUDIOPT. Any item sent for technical assistance without prior authorization will be subject to delays or even refusal to accept delivery.
