Accurate and Quiet Tracking
The heart of this system is powered by a high-precision stepper motor that rotates the axis of the mount at sidereal speed.
This ensures that your camera tracks the stars perfectly, allowing for extended exposures without the unwanted "star trails" effect. With this kit, you'll get exposures up to:
• 10 minutes (600s) with wide-angle lenses (16mm – 35mm).
• 5 minutes (300s) with telephoto lenses up to 200mm.
Uncomplicated Polar Alignment
Thanks to the integrated polar finder and the adjustable polar wedge mounted on a solid stainless steel tripod, aligning the equipment with the Polar Star is a quick and intuitive task.
Fine latitude and azimuth adjustments are made via easy-to-handle serrated handles, while the spirit level integrated into the tripod head ensures a perfectly level base.
Ready to Use and Highly Portable
The included ball head with quick-release plate accepts any camera with a standard 1/4" or 3/8" thread.
The system works with 8 D batteries (LR20) packed in a protective mount, allowing you to shoot in the most remote locations.
For extended sessions in the backyard, it can also be powered via external 6V DC transformer (optional).
