CARUBA W-160 Macro Focusing Rail
With the W-160 rail, taking sharp macro photos is a little easier.
One technique commonly used in macro photography is focus stacking.
It takes multiple photos of your subject while moving the camera forward or backward a bit.
By not adjusting the focus, the focus of your subject always shifts a bit.
Images can be combined into a photo editing program.
This way, you get a lot more sharpness in the image than you normally have with macro photos.
The macro slide plate is easy to set up. On top, use the swivel wheel to secure your camera to the 1/4" connection.
With the Arca-Swiss coupling plate, you place the sliding plate on top of the tripod head.
With the two rotary knobs it has on the front and back, you can precisely move the camera setup a little forward or backward.
The distance indicator on the side gives you a good overview of the distances.
