CINESTILL 50Daylight is a cinematic colour negative, 50/18° sensitivity and balanced daylight (5500K) cinematic film ideal for photography. Perfect for shooting in bright light conditions with large apertures and for producing high-resolution, low-noise images.
Based on the original Vision3 50D emulsion, this film is prepared and rolled for standard processing in a clean and safe photo lab, or for C41 development at home, but can also be processed with ECN-2 chemistry for low-contrast cinematic negatives.
Exceptional Exposure in Any Situation
The exposure latitude of this film surpasses anything that digital and even most other films can achieve. With the 50D, you can achieve beautiful results using ISO between 12 and 100 without the need for forced processing. Regardless of the light metering, you'll see almost no noise, but the color, contrast, shadow detail, and highlight rendering will be affected by the ISO you choose for metering. If you expose at a lower ISO, you'll get warmer images with higher lighting in the highlights.
New Emulsion for Even Better Results
CineStill's new and improved manufacturing process now extends the shelf life of the 50D emulsion, with artifacts less noticeable after the expiration date. This emulsion is optimized for a hybrid workflow, ideal for scanning, and produces a complementary contrast curve for optical printing on RA-4 paper when processed with C-41 chemistry.
