APUTURE C300D Mark II Light Storm Kit V-Mount LED Illuminator
The 300d Mark II is 20% brighter, more durable, more portable, and smarter than the original 300d.
When combined with Fresnel 2X, the 300d Mark II can produce up to 80,000 lux, approaching the luminance of a 575W HMI.
And as always, the 5500K-balanced 300d Mark II maintains impeccable colour fidelity, with CRI and TLCI ratings of 96 + and 97 +, respectively.
The 300d Mark II is also the first Aputure light to feature the all-new 55° hyper-efficient reflector.
By slightly narrowing the beam from 60° to 55° and redesigning the internal shape and reflector coating, we were able to increase the output of the 300d II by more than 3 times when compared to the original design.
A more robust lamp head
The 300d Mark II also introduces new design features while maintaining the same form factor and lightweight aluminum body as the original 300d.
The new fork allows for 360° of rotation and, when combined with the 120d Mark II's handbrake locking mechanism, you can mount the light in any position, with any modifier.
A revolutionary redesign
But the real breakthrough is in the complete redesign of the control box.
Utilizing Aputure's fanless heatsink design, the 300d Mark II's All-in-One Control Box is now completely silent.
Comprised of a durable aluminum alloy, with a new concealed antenna and military-grade paracord strap, the control box is ready to withstand the rigors of any film set.
The 300d Mark II control box is also the first product to utilize Aputure's new quick-release plate and clamp system, allowing it to attach it securely to any bracket, truss or speed rail.
Power Solutions for Independent Filmmakers
The 300d Mark II can produce its maximum output using two high-capacity V-Mount or Gold Mount batteries, but it also has a new technology that allows it to power the light with a single battery with up to half the output.
The included 6m NEUTRIK® cable provides the 300d II with a robust power connection.
And now, using a standard 5m male-to-female 3-pin XLR, you can easily replace the cable.
An optional 7.5m 5-pin XLR is also available, allowing you to keep your control box within arm's reach, while giving you the ability to equip your light anywhere you want, from a threat arm to a high beacon equipment.
* Due to the maximum power consumption of 340‐350W maximum light, we recommend using batteries capable of drawing at least 15 amps of continuous power.
New control features
The 300d Mark II's control box has 8 built-in lighting effects: "Paparazzi", "Fireworks", "Lightning", "Fault Bulb", "TV", "Pulsing", "Strobe" and "Explosion", with further future firmware updates via the USB interface of the control boxes. The control box also has a new "trigger" button to activate the FX lighting instantly.
The long-awaited 0% to 100% continuous dimming control allows you to use the 300d II in low-light environments or dominate the sun and can utilize any of 4 different dimming curves: Linear, Logarithmic, Exponential, and S-Curve.
The 300d Mark II also features a "studio mode" that allows the lights to turn on and be controlled immediately after receiving power, making it perfect for DMX lighting grilles.
More control options
In addition to the control wheel, the 300d Mark II also features DMX512 compatibility, a new 2.4Ghz Aputure Wireless remote control with an FX toggle button, and the ability to be controlled via the Sidus Link App.
With the brand-new Bluetooth SIG mesh networking technology, the 300d Mark II will also be the first app-controllable Aputure lighting device.
* This technology will allow you to control a 300d Mark II from up to 400 meters away, linking multiple lights from 80 meters away.
Using the Sidus Link app, you'll be able to access all the functions of the control box, as well as being able to save presets, tune and trigger additional lighting FX, as well as install firmware updates, all on your smartphone or tablet.
The new 300d Mark II carrying case is made up of durable walls with a soft outer shell that can support up to 100kg, offering ample protection and a seat for yourself on set.
The bottom of the case is also covered in an easy-to-clean, cut-proof material, allowing you to rest easy knowing that the 300d Mark II will survive any situation you throw at it.
