Wider and even more versatile than its predecessor, the Tamron 25-200mm f/2.8-5.6 Di III VXD G2 can easily become the ideal lens for many photographers looking for a practical solution to any situation. Designed for full-frame mirrorless cameras with Sony E mount, the 25-200mm combines a relatively compact and lightweight build, given its wide zoom and aperture range. A wider zoom range
Tamron's long tradition of high-performance all-in-one zooms continues to expand with the release of this 25-200mm lens, which now reaches 25mm at the wide-angle end — wider than its predecessors. This gives photographers an even greater reach, and with a minimum focusing distance of just 16cm at the wide-angle end, it allows them to get closer to their subject with a magnification ratio of 1:1.9, i.e. almost macro at half scale.
The wide range of focal lengths, from wide-angle to telephoto, gives photographers multiple options in any scenario — from landscapes and portraits to sports. The fast maximum aperture allows for a shallow depth of field and smooth, pleasant bokeh.
Fast autofocus and advanced optics
An advanced VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) motor powers a fast and accurate autofocus system, ideal for capturing sharp, detailed images. Combined with modern optics, which includes GM, LD and XLD elements, it results in a high-performance, highly reliable lens that is perfect for demanding photographers. The BBAR-G2 coating also helps to reduce the impact of flare and ghosting.
