Responsive Autofocus
Easily focus on everything from static landscapes to children playing thanks to the powerful autofocus system. The autofocus system with high-response linear actuator adjusts focus quickly and precisely, allowing you to faithfully track fast-moving subjects and quickly switch to a new subject. Thanks to the suppression of focus breathing, the lens is also suitable for professional video production.
Reliable Optical Stabilization
This lens features a powerful optical image stabilisation system that compensates for 6.5 stops of camera shake at the wide-angle end and 4.5 stops at the telephoto end. Driven by Sigma's OS2 algorithm, the stabilisation system makes the lens ideal for handheld use on the move, even when shooting in low light and at the longer end of the zoom range.
High Clarity Optics
Thanks to one FLD element, three SLD elements and four aspherical elements, the lens produces sharp final images with accurate colours and minimal distortion, providing an enjoyable shooting experience throughout the zoom range, even at a maximum aperture of f/2.8. The rounded 11-blade diaphragm produces beautiful bokeh, with a smooth focus transition that beautifully highlights in-focus areas.
