The Sigma 30mm F1.4 DC DN (C) Lens is a compact, lightweight lens with outstanding image quality with a bright F1.4 aperture.
Fast and smooth AF By incorporating a stepping motor, the lens offers extremely fast autofocus and smooth performance.
This feature is especially useful when using the camera to record videos.
A premium lens with a focal length of around 50mm and a bright aperture of F1.4, it offers an angle of view similar to human vision.
Photographers can experience the functionality of a bright F1.4 aperture, corresponding to 45mm* on the Sony E-mount system (*35mm equivalent).
The front element of the objective features a high refractive index, powerful high-dispersion glass, and a shorter length than general objectives.
To optimize the lens for CSC (mirrorless) cameras, two aspherical lens elements help ensure an excellent design of the focusing light group allows for fast and very smooth AF performance, especially for video and other applications.

Leveraging SIGMA's latest technologies and design insights, this new lens fulfils the concept of the Contemporary line, in which various elements come together in an ideal balance.
A prime lens with a focal length of about 50mm and F1.4 brightness offers an angle of view very similar to human vision. 
The photographer can use the shallow depth of field at large aperture to take stunning portraits and still life photos on the table. 
Either he or she can close the aperture for greater depth of field and take landscape photos or snapshots. 
In this way, standard lenses allow photographers to enjoy many of the fundamental methods of photography and have therefore been a favorite for decades. 
Photographers can experience F1.4 brightness and standard lens functionality with a 35mm equivalent focal length of 60mm on the Micro Four Thirds system and 45mm on Sony's E-mount system.

EXTRA-LONG PARASIL (SUPPLIED) 
The included lens hood is extra long and has an anti-reflective coating to control unwanted light. 
The hood also features rubber and non-slip textures to make it easier for the photographer to hold on to while shooting.

TSC USED FOR A MORE COMPACT STRUCTURE AND IMPROVED PERFORMANCE
Since new material TSC (thermally stable composite) is highly elastic, it exhibits minimal deformation. Parts made of TSC are therefore less likely to develop gaps between each other over time.
The SIGMA 30mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary model features a lens body and aperture parts made of TSC, which contribute to both the compactness of the lens and the smooth operation of the aperture system. 
TSC helps increase the accuracy of the cells that hold the lens elements and parts related to the focus lens group, further improving the performance of the lens.

DESIGNED TO MINIMIZE REFLECTIONS AND GHOSTING 
From an early stage in the lens design process, flare and ghosting were measured to establish an optical design that is resistant to strong incident light sources such as backlighting. 
SIGMA's Super Multi-Layer coating reduces flare and ghosting to help photographers produce sharp, high-contrast images, even in backlit conditions. 
The included lens hood can be attached to block extraneous light, which can have a negative effect on rendering performance.

SHALLOW DEPTH OF FIELD FOR BEAUTIFUL BOKEH 
The large-diameter lens with f/1.4 brightness enables a shallow depth of field for beautiful bokeh - not available until now in a standard lens for mirrorless cameras.

HIGH-PRECISION RUGGED BRASS BAYONET MOUNT
