LAOWA 50mm f/2.8 2x Ultra Macro APO for Micro 4/3
The Laowa 50mm f/2.8 2X Ultra Macro (VE5028MFT) Lens has full-size 2x magnification manual focus, macro lens, specifically designed for the four-thirds micro mount. Optimized for a variety of MFT mirrorless cameras, including those from Panasonic, Olympus, and Blackmagic. Most MFT macro lenses on the market can only reproduce a magnification of 1: 1. But this lens with a magnification of 2X gives photographers the advantage of a wider magnification range for different subject sizes.
An apochromatic (APO) design that helps minimize chromatic aberration in both in-focus and out-of-focus areas. It greatly improves the sharpness, clarity, and color accuracy of images, making post-editing much simpler.
Equipped with CPU chip and motor (automatic aperture). The Laowa 50mm Ultra Macro chipset allows you to control the aperture through the camera body. For example, the focus magnifier would be automatically enabled by turning the focus ring for easier control. In addition, all lens data can be recorded by the CPU in EXIF.
Compact and lightweight (only 240g) it is the ideal choice for micro and outdoor photography. the focal length is equivalent to about 100mm equivalent (97.5mm on the camera with 1.5x crop sensor), which is a useful focal length for general macro and close up photography, maintaining a good working distance from the camera to the subject. The optical construction is 14 elements in 10 groups, with 3 extra-low dispersion glass elements. The minimum focusing distance is 17 cm (sensor to subject) to give double the magnification of the actual size.
