LAOWA 15mm f/4.5R Zero-D Canon EF
Combining an exceptionally wide field of view with the ability to correct perspective distortions, the Canon EF LAOWA 15mm f/4.5R Zero-D with EF mount from Venus Optics is an ideal lens for architectural and interior photography. The wide 110° viewing angle is complemented by an impressive +/- 11mm offset range to compensate for unwanted converging lines and trapezoidal distortion. This shift control is complemented by a 360° rotation mechanism that applies movements in multiple directions to suit both horizontal and vertical orientation photography. In addition, as part of the Zero-D series of lenses, this 15mm f/4.5 also produces scenes with a high degree of precision and very low distortion.
In terms of optics, two spherical elements and three extra-low dispersion elements are featured, which reduce spherical and chromatic aberrations, providing high sharpness and clarity. An anti-reflective coating also helps control reflections, providing contrast and enhancement of color enhancement. The objective uses a manual focus design to work with objects up to 20 cm away and features a fourteen-blade diaphragm to produce subtle 14-pointed solar stars.
