The Alpha 7 V integrates the AI processing unit into the BIONZ XR2 engine, providing a substantial leap in autofocus speed, accuracy, and reliability.
The Alpha 7 V features up to a 30% ^⁴ improvement in Real-time Recognition AF, which instantly recognizes selected subjects and continues to capture them with high accuracy.
With 759 phase-detection points and up to 94% frame coverage, the camera ensures accurate subject tracking over virtually the entire image area, even in challenging low-light conditions, up to EV ^-4.0⁵.
High-resolution RAW processing is now supported in the Imaging Edge Desktop application, offering unmatched flexibility in post-production.

HIGH-SPEED CONTINUOUS SHOOTING WITHOUT COMPROMISE
The combination of a partially stacked Exmor RS™ CMOS image sensor with approximately 4.5 times the readout speed and the BIONZ XR2™ processor results in high image quality with minimal distortion.
In addition, high-precision tracking with up to 60 AF/AE calculations per second and continuous uninterrupted shooting of up to 30 fps with AF/AE tracking ensure that no opportunity is missed, even with fast-moving subjects and complex patterns, such as in wildlife and sports photography. Even during 14-bit RAW shooting, it achieves high-speed continuous shooting of up to 30 fps with AF/AE tracking.
The pre-capture function, which can record up to one second before the shutter is pressed, captures decisive moments even with subjects whose movements are difficult to predict, such as pets and sports.

EXCEPTIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY PERFORMANCE

Designed for maximum creative control, the A7 V achieves up to 16 stops of dynamic range, ensuring remarkable tonal detail in all areas, from highlights to shadows.
Even in scenes with extreme contrast, it expresses natural, smooth gradations from dark to light areas.
The new AI-powered Auto White Balance (AWB) feature utilizes advanced scene analysis for consistent color reproduction and estimates the light source through deep learning technology.
By automatically identifying the light source in the shooting environment with high accuracy and adjusting the color tones accordingly, it enables natural and stable color reproduction, resulting in more faithful colors and reducing post-production work.

VERSATILE VIDEO CAPABILITIES
Expanding the creative possibilities for hybrid creators, the Alpha 7 V introduces additional 4K recording modes, including 4K 60p recording with 7k oversampling available in full-frame mode and 4K 120p recording in APS-C/Super 35mm mode, delivering rich and detailed images with exceptional editing flexibility.
Full pixel readout without grouping enables highly detailed video recording, down to the smallest detail.
The Dynamic Active Mode image stabilization feature allows for smooth and stable video recordings even with the camera handheld.
Users can enjoy high-quality video recordings in a wide variety of situations, from vlogging and creative productions to recording family moments.
The camera also has an Auto Framing function that automatically maintains the optimal composition of subjects during recording through AI-powered object recognition. This allows you to record videos with stable composition in several scenes.
The new noise reduction built into the camera and the improved functionality of the internal microphone ensure high-quality audio recordings by reducing constant background noise, minimizing interference, and maintaining a natural sound.

IMPROVED OPERABILITY AND USABILITY
Designed with efficiency in mind, the A7V offers Wi-Fi® 6E GHz compatibility for stable, high-speed wireless transmission, as well as two USB Type-C® ports for enhanced workflow and flexibility.
Vertical format support and adjustable electronic shutter sound make photography adaptable to a variety of environments.
The 4-axis multi-angle monitor combines tilt and vari-angle design, offering unrestricted horizontal and vertical adjustment for greater shooting freedom.
A better fit of the fingers in the grip provides greater comfort, stability and control during extended sessions.

BUILT TO BE RELIABLE
The A7V features improved power management and optimized runtime performance, allowing for longer shooting sessions without interruptions.
A new Monitor Low Bright mode further extends battery life^, while improved thermal management supports extended 4K recording with unaltered quality, approximately 630 shots when using the viewfinder, in accordance with CIPA standards.
