TASCAM introduces the DR-40XP, a portable handheld 4-channel recorder designed to deliver high-quality recordings in music, film, television, podcasts, streaming, and many other applications. Thanks to its compact form factor and microSDXC card storage, the DR-40XP lets you capture high-quality audio at any time. In addition, it accepts memory cards up to 512 GB, offering ample recording capacity for use outdoors and in remote locations. Its 32-bit float recording mode, with a sample rate of up to 96 kHz, ensures low-noise and distortion-free records, avoiding missing takes at too high or too low levels.
Pickup Flexibility: Adjustable Microphones and 4 Recording Channels
As a portable 4-channel recorder, the new DR-40XP includes two unidirectional stereo condenser microphones, which can be adjusted between A/B and X/Y settings, facilitating wide, accurate and deep stereo pickup. In addition, it has two XLR/TRS inputs on the bottom, allowing you to record up to four sources simultaneously. It also includes an input delay function to minimize potential phase issues between internal and external microphones.
