Unlock, start shooting right away
The DJI RS 4 Mini adds automatic axis locks previously found on DJI's main gimbals, which allow the three axis locks to be unlocked automatically when powering on and locked when powering off or sleeping. This noticeably speeds up the filming, transition and storage processes. The storage structure has also been updated, with the axle arms folding more to save space. Combined with automated shaft locks, the gimbal can be quickly stored at the push of a button, making it easy to fit into a bag for convenient transport.
Faster vertical change
The RS 4 Mini offers the fastest switching between horizontal and vertical shooting in the RS series. To switch to vertical shooting, simply release and press the button on one side, remove the horizontal plate from the gimbal, rotate it 90°, and then re-tighten it in place. Everything can be done in 10 seconds. This way, you can record vertical videos directly, perfectly suited for mobile viewing, allowing your audience to enjoy your masterpiece even sooner.
Handles cameras and smartphones
The lightweight RS 4 Mini offers a load capacity of 2 kg. When paired with DJI Mic series microphones, fill lights, and other accessories, it also allows for smooth camera movements. You can also quickly switch to a smartphone stabilizer using the new phone holder. Its versatility adapts perfectly to different scenarios.
Wireless recording and zoom
After Bluetooth pairing, you can control the start/stop of recording from your camera or phone directly via the gimbal's record button, without the hassle of a cable release. The new zoom control function allows you to control Power Zoom for PZ lenses and Clear Image Zoom by simply pressing the joystick, making one-handed operation a breeze. A camera only needs to be paired once, after which it can reconnect continuously and automatically.
Thoughtful UI updates
The touchscreen now displays icons more clearly and runs more smoothly. New gimbal status warnings have been added, and by customizing parameters, you can adjust the values directly using the front display. The touchscreen incorporates an auto-lock feature. Once locked, the screen will display the current gimbal and joystick modes at a low brightness. This not only prevents accidental touches, but also helps conserve battery power.

We developed a state-of-the-art paste grip especially for the RS 4 Mini, reducing the size by about 20% and the weight by about 12%, making portable low-angle shooting easier.
Intelligent tracking and composition
Introducing the DJI RS Intelligent Tracking Module, a new universal accessory in the RS 4 series. It assists videographers who are novice in intelligent filming and composition, keeping the human subject in a consistent position within the frame. This is particularly useful for shots in orbit, rearward tracking shots and for tracking from a fixed camera position when shooting alone. The module supports tracking up to 10 meters and works reliably even in complex scenes, such as multi-person environments. Even if the subject temporarily leaves the frame, the gimbal can find and re-follow the subject.
Secure magnetic mounting
The tracking module features a quick-release magnetic design, allowing you to attach to the tilt axis in just one second and be ready to work with the gimbal. Thanks to the magnetic lock design, it will stay firmly in place without loosening or falling off, ensuring a more reliable filming process.
Screening Start/Stop
With just a touch of the trigger, you can instantly lock onto your subject and start or stop smart tracking, effortlessly keeping track of your star of the show. Or open your palm towards the tracking module, and it will detect you as the subject within 1 second and start/stop smart tracking, perfect for selfies and vlogs.
Agile and smooth follow-up
In the new Responsive mode, the gimbal responds faster to hand movements when starting and stopping, especially suitable for fast-orbiting shots. It also retains DJI's classic Smooth follow mode, providing fluid gimbal response, making it ideal for regular follow shots or parallel tracking. By combining different follow modes and speeds, you can create a wide range of narratives.
4th Generation Stabilization
The RS 4 Mini has been upgraded to the 4th generation RS stabilization algorithm. It achieves a superior balance between stabilization strength and tactile sensation of camera movement, providing excellent performance and an enhanced user experience. In addition, the RS 4 Mini offers significantly improved stability when shooting vertically, easily stabilizing dynamic shots such as racing or low-angle perspectives. In addition, the gimbal is optimized for multi-chamber compatibility, automatically calibrating the motor's strength to suit different scenarios.
Fast charging, extended battery life
Both the charging speed and battery life increase by 30% compared to the last generation. With a maximum run time of 13 hours, it provides enough power for all-day shooting. It also supports fast charging, offering 5-hour use on just a 30-minute charge.
Lightweight construction, high payload
Weighing just 890 g, the RS 4 Mini has a payload capacity of up to 2 kg. It supports a wide range of conventional mirrorless cameras and lens combinations, delivering powerful performance. With high-torque motors, the RS 4 Mini can maintain shooting stability when zooming in at maximum focal lengths by using the following recommended combinations without the need for rebalancing.
