The SmallRig L-Shaped Mount Plate for Canon EOS R5 Mark II (model 4983B) is designed to assist in quick switching between landscape and portrait orientations, as well as improving the grip of the camera body. The L-shaped mounting plate attaches securely to the camera with a 1/4"-20 screw at the base and two locating blocks on the sides to prevent drift, plus built-in silicone pads to protect the camera from scratches.
In vertical shooting situations, the included location block, with cold shoe mount, stabilizes the center of the frame, preventing image shift due to side panel deformation. This location block is compatible with a variety of cold shoe accessories, such as microphones, video lights, transmitters, and flashes, allowing you to shoot or shoot with light equipment.
The side panel can be extended by 22.5mm, making it easier to manage cables when shooting vertically, and adjusted forward and backward by 7.8mm. without obstructing the camera's HDMI, microphone, and other interfaces.
The side panel design allows the screen to rotate approximately 100° back and forth. Both the base plate and side panel do not obstruct the camera's button interfaces, such as the battery compartment and card slot.
The mounting plate features multiple expansion interfaces, including 1/4"-20 threaded holes, QD interface, cold shoe fittings, and handle slots, allowing for the attachment of accessories such as QD shoulder strap, microphone, and tripods, catering to various shooting scenarios.
The Arca-Swiss quick-release base allows direct mounting on Ark-type tripods and DJI RS 2 / RSC 2 / RS 3 / RS 3 Pro / RS 4 / RS 4 Pro stabilizers, enabling quick transitions between gimbal configurations In addition, the cage incorporates a double-headed magnetic wrench at the bottom for easy assembly and disassembly.
