The DS820 offers some unique benefits and is the ideal printer for the professional user.
A unique feature of the DS820 is the ability to print photos with different finishes. This ensures that there is a suitable finish for each different purpose. The great thing about the finishing option is that there is no need to change the paper roll: the coating is printed on the paper by the printer.
In addition to the classic photo finishes, matte and gloss, the DS820 offers "Fine matte" and "Lustre" finishes. In addition, the printer features an exceptional novelty: partial coating, allowing great creativity for photographers.
The DS820 offers the ability to produce prints in different sizes. Next to the A4 size, you can print in 10x20, 13x20, 15x20, 20x25, 20x30 and even 20x80 panoramas. To print panoramas, install the latest firmware version and print the photos with Hot Folder Print.
Of course, it's important that the printer doesn't use more paper than necessary, which is why the DS820 is equipped with a backtracking function. This ensures that there is optimal use of paper: good for you and the environment.
The power consumption of the DS820 is designed in such a way that only 0.5W of power is used in standby mode. It is good to leave the DS820 on for a long period of time.
The DS820 offers the possibility to print your own projected watermark. This function allows the photo itself to be unattended, but makes the text visible by printing in matte and glossy finish.
Two types of media are available: Pure Premium Digital and Standard Digital.
With the improved brightness level and high-density output, Pure Premium Digital produces high-quality prints to meet the demand of the studio photographer market. The digital standard is more cost-effective but maintains high quality.
