The Airport Accelerator Backpack from Think Tank is a huge backpack designed for the professional who needs to carry a complete camera system. This backpack accommodates two professional DSLRs, as well as an additional 6 to 8 basic zooms, including your 500mm f/4 attached to a body or a 600mm f/4. Larger than the Airport Commuter of the same brand, this backpack contains the same features, but on a larger scale. Your 17" laptop and iPad are housed in a separate lock-and-loop compartment.
Efficiency and portability
Overall, the backpack is designed for maximum efficiency and portability, meeting the needs of the professional photographer, who needs a quick-access backpack that is easy to carry and safe. The exterior is made of a combination of ballistic nylon and polyurethane for added strength and water resistance, while the interior is nylon with closed-cell foam padded dividers. For added security, the Airport Accelerator comes with a safety cable and a lock that can be attached to any solid object, such as a column or an entrance hall fence. This allows you to take out your gear safe in the knowledge that the rest of the backpack will remain where you left it. The backpack's sturdy YKK zippers can also be locked with user-supplied zippers for added peace of mind.
Practical and comfortable
As part of Think Tank's Airport series, the Airport Accelerator makes your travel life easy and comfortable. There are carry straps on three sides and the adjustable belt comes with a reinforced lumbar support and Air Mesh panels to keep your back cool while traveling. For added convenience, the adjustable straps even have elastic pockets for your iPhone or business cards. The belt is removable and can accept Think Tank's optional Pro Speed Belt or Thin Skin Belt, which will make portability more comfortable, as well as increase its load capacity. Inside, the main flap features clear laminated mesh pockets to store everything from memory cards to snacks.
Weather protection
For inclement weather, the backpack comes with an easy-to-open rain cover. The tripod mounting system accommodates the feet in a side pocket and the head is secured with an included strap. While you're on the move, use the side water bottle pocket to instantly cool off without having to stop, pull out your entire backpack and get liquids. And when you're at the airport, the top zip pocket is the perfect place to store your passport.
