Compact yet powerful, the Nikon Z5 is an FX-format mirrorless camera that offers a balanced feature set, ideal for both stills and video. Equipped with a 24.3MP CMOS sensor and an EXPEED 6 image processor, it enables sensitivities up to ISO 51200, continuous shooting at 4.5fps, and UHD 4K video recording at 30fps.
The physical design is sleek and functional, with a magnesium alloy body that is resistant to adverse weather conditions. For high-quality viewing, it features a 3.6-million-dot OLED electronic viewfinder, complemented by a 3.2-inch tilting 1.04-million-dot LCD touchscreen, ideal for capturing images from difficult angles.
For quick and easy sharing, built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity allows for file transfer and remote control via the Nikon SnapBridge app.
24.3MP FX-Format Sensor and EXPEED 6 Processor
The 24.3-megapixel full-frame sensor works together with the EXPEED 6 processor to deliver excellent image quality, high sensitivity and efficient performance. The native ISO range from 100 to 51200 can be expanded up to ISO 102400 for extreme lighting situations. This combination delivers sharp images with smooth color transitions and low noise.
EXPEED 6 also boosts the camera's speed, enabling continuous shooting at 4.5 fps and 8MP photo capture during video recording.
In addition to image quality, the 273-point hybrid autofocus system combines phase detection and contrast for fast, accurate focusing. It includes eye and face detection, both for people and animals, in photo and video.
UHD 4K Video Recording
The Z5 records videos in UHD 4K at up to 30 fps and in Full HD at up to 60 fps, and you can save the files to internal memory cards or an external recorder via HDMI output. 4K recording uses a 1.7x crop of the central area of the sensor, while Full HD takes advantage of the full width of the sensor. It is also possible to create time-lapse videos directly in the camera, in 4K resolution.
Built-in Image Stabilization
The camera features a 5-axis VR stabilization system, which compensates for up to five stops of shake, regardless of the lens used. When used with lenses adapted via the FTZ adapter, stabilization works in 3 axes. For video recording, additional electronic stabilization is also available to improve fluidity when shooting handheld.
