The most powerful entry in Nikon's digital camera lineup, the creator-inspired ZF black full-frame mirrorless camera proves once again that good style never goes out of style. While the body design is reminiscent of the cinematic functionality and metallic feel of vintage SLRs, its interior is equipped with the most advanced features and capabilities of the Z series. This combination transforms ZF's iconic silhouette into a modern, touch-screen camera that uses cutting-edge technology to deliver truly timeless images.

Immersive and Intuitive Design
Inspired by the legendary FM2, Nikon's classic mechanical work machine, ZF evokes the past with elegance and precision. The machined edges, serrated dials and marbled texture are designed to offer the wearer a complete sensory experience — like operating a true piece of engineering excellence. Crafted from precision-sculpted aluminium, the shutter speed, ISO and exposure compensation dials feature marked engravings for precise manual control. The mechanical shutter releases with an audible and assertive click.
A dedicated black and white mode, with two distinct monochrome "possibilities", is available immediately, giving versatility and artistic expression with a simple gesture.
This intuitive, tactile design goes beyond retro controls. The electronic viewfinder, housed in a prism-shaped body — comfortable for both the orbital bone and the eyes — can now be complemented with operation via the 3.2-inch rear vari-angle LCD touchscreen. This feature allows you to move focus points, select subjects to track, and switch between viewing modes — all without taking your eye off the viewfinder. The rear screen is fully articulated, including forward, making it easy to navigate and operate at high or low angles.

Full frame sensor, full speed processor
24.5 MP BSI FX-format CMOS sensor
A 24.5 MP BSI CMOS sensor is used for full shots, impressive low-light image quality and high readout speeds to benefit continuous shooting, video and time-lapse recording. The sensor's back-illuminated design also provides remarkably sharp high-sensitivity output, reducing noise when working with high ISO values. In addition, Zf has a high-resolution photo mode that combines multiple exposures to create a single 96 MP file.

EXPEED 7 Image Processor

• Using the same powerful processing engine used in the Z9 and Z8, the camera's EXPEED 7 image processor works in tandem with the sensor design to deliver impressively fast AF speeds, continuous shooting rates, high buffer capacity, fluid video performance, and fast handling across the board.
• Enhanced with Deep Learning technology, the camera features an auto mode that analyzes the "situation" of your shot and automatically adjusts the aperture, ISO, and shutter speed to match your needs. With this setting, you can automatically capture portraits with a beautiful background blur or keep all faces in focus for a group shot.
• Extremely fast 30fps continuous shooting rate with silent mechanical shutter and 14fps continuous shooting rate with mechanical shutter.
• Pre-release capture records up to 30 JPEGs per full second before the shutter is released.

UHD 4K recording and versatile video control
The new shutter-priority exposure mode allows you to shoot at a fixed shutter speed, smoothly adjusting the ISO and aperture to maintain a constant brightness level in the image.
Combining the camera's high-quality photographic attributes, Zf offers a variety of resolutions and frame rates to meet all video needs. With oversampling from 6K, UHD 4K video can be recorded with full pixel readout up to 30p. Full HD 1080p recording is also supported up to 120p, ideal for slow-motion playback.

Fast and intelligent AF
As with the Z9 and Z8, Zf's autofocus system recognizes a wide range of subjects — people, cats, dogs, birds, bicycles, motorcycles, cars, planes and trains — and uses deep learning technology to provide accurate focus and tracking for each type of subject.
Eye detection in photos and videos automatically focuses on the eyes of people, pets, and birds, even when they appear very small in the frame. For the first time, this feature is also available for manual focus lenses, automatically enlarging the area around the eyes, allowing for quick verification of sharpness.

Vibration reduction
Built-in 5-axis sensor-shift Vibration Reduction (VR) compensates for up to 8 stops of camera shake when combined with Z-mount lenses, allowing you to shoot at shutter speeds up to 8 stops slower without causing blur. In addition, this system is compatible with F-mount lenses through the use of the optional FTZ adapter, offering 3-axis stabilization.
The VR system applied to the focus point specifically stabilises the area around the active focus point – regardless of its position in the frame – providing precise correction exactly where it is needed.
It allows continuous internal recording for up to 125 minutes, directly to a memory card, using 10-bit H.265 compression in SDR, HLG and N-Log tone modes.

NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/4 S
The NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/4 S is a versatile standard zoom lens designed for Z-mount mirrorless cameras in FX-format. Covering focal lengths from wide-angle to portrait, it's ideal for a wide range of shooting situations.
The constant maximum aperture of f/4 allows for stable exposure throughout the zoom range while maintaining a lightweight and compact design — an excellent alternative to larger f/2.8 lenses.
Optical quality is ensured by one extra-low dispersion aspherical element and three additional aspherical elements, which minimize chromatic and spherical aberrations, distortions and coma. The nanocrystal and super integrated coatings significantly reduce flare and ghosting, even in bright light or backlit situations.
Equipped with a stepping motor (STM), it offers fast, quiet and smooth autofocus performance that's ideal for both stills and video. Manual focusing is always available, and the internal focusing design keeps the lens length constant during operation.
The programmable control ring can be used to adjust manual focus, aperture, or exposure compensation to the user's preference. The electromagnetic aperture ensures accurate exposure, especially useful in continuous rags.
Other highlights include the rounded 7-blade diaphragm, which provides a smooth and pleasant blur, fluorine coating on the front and rear elements for increased resistance to dust, grease and moisture, and a weather-sealed body. The retractable mechanism without a button allows you to store the lens more compactly when not in use.
