Constant F2.8 brightness

XD Linear Motors for Precise AF and Reliable Tracking
Four XD Linear Motors, two for each focus group, contribute to fast and accurate autofocus and tracking, increasing the speed potential of α cameras. New control algorithms maximise the response of the XD Linear Motor system and achieve perfect synchronisation between focus groups. Operation is also quiet, with minimal vibration.
Control and reliability for professional applications
The focus hold button, focus mode switch, zoom ring, focus ring and others are easy to use, with smooth workflow. Alternative user functions can be assigned to the focus hold button in the camera body menu settings. The fluorine-proof coating of the front element, dust- and moisture-proof, ensures high reliability in challenging environments.
