The optical and mechanical design offers excellent super-telephoto zoom performance on APS-C bodies (105-525mm equiv.). The quality of the G Lens is maintained throughout the zoom range, right up to the edges of the images. All in a compact, mobile 5x zoom super-telephoto lens with optical image stabilisation.
G Lens Quality up to 350mm (525mm equiv.)
One spherical element and three ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements in a precision optical design suppress aberration throughout the zoom range, including chromatic aberration that is often an issue at super-telephoto focal lengths. Excellent sharpness and rendering at all zoom settings, across the entire image area. Another plus is the beautiful bokeh of G Lens.
Compact and mobile 5x super-telephoto zoom
Although it offers a high 5x zoom range, this compact lens weighs just 625 grams, improving mobility. The 70-350mm (105-525mm equiv.) is ideal for a variety of objects. Built-in optical image stabilisation enables sharp, distortion-free images to be captured, even handheld at a super-telephoto focal length.
