Lightweight, compact, high-magnification zoom lens

With a zoom range from 18mm wide-angle to 135mm telephoto, this lens is suitable for a variety of subjects and situations. It offers portability that maximises the advantage of the APS-C format E-type mount, as well as fast, accurate and quiet AF operation, making it a great everyday solution for photography.

7.5x zoom in a compact and lightweight lens

This lens weighs only 325 g, has a diameter of only 67.2 mm and a length of 88 mm. At the telephoto end of the zoom range, the focal length is 202.5mm (35mm format), offering a wide range for general photography, landscapes, wildlife, portraits and more.

Excellent edge-to-edge resolution

A new optical design that includes a spherical element contributes to consistently high resolution from the image centre to the edges throughout the zoom range, while two ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements suppress chromatic aberrations. Optical image stabilization makes it easy to shoot images without tripod.

Close-ups with beautiful background bokeh

The minimum focusing distance is 0.45 m (0.29x max magnification), making it easy to shoot close-ups of candy, flowers and wildlife, combining sharp, in-focus objects with background bokeh. The bokeh quality is enhanced by the circular aperture design.

Fast, precise and quiet AF, ideal for stills and movies

A precision linear motor drives the lens's AF system, for fast, accurate and quiet operation ideally suited to movies and stills.
