The Tokina atx-i 11-16mm F2.8 CF is designed as an ultra-wide-angle zoom lens for DLSR cameras with an APS-C sensor. 

It's a fast f/2.8 ultra-wide-angle zoom lens for APS-C sized DSLR cameras.

The useful focal length of 11-16mm is chosen to position the lens as a required gear easily after standard zoom lenses or initial wide-angle zoom lenses to begin with.

A constant maximum aperture of f/2.8 throughout the zoom range is achieved for optimal results in low-light environments, for depth-of-field control and easy handheld shooting while maintaining a reasonable lens size and weight.

Optical performance

To achieve the exceptional optical performance required for ultra-wide-angle zoom lenses for photography and video purposes, two aspherical glass elements and two super-low dispersion glass elements were used to minimize distortions, manage spherical aberrations and astigmatism, and achieve excellent edges. to circumvent the resolution and contrast of the entire image. Great efforts have been made to control light fallout at all focal lengths.

The multi-layer anti-reflective coating improves light transmission and minimizes reflections, while the water-repellent coating makes it easy to wipe and clean the surface of the front glass element.
