Thypoch's Simera-C 21mm T1.5 cinema prime lens is designed for full-frame cameras. It combines a wide perspective with a bright maximum aperture of T1.5, which stands out even in unfavorable lighting conditions. Its ultra-compact design makes it easy to capture more challenging angles, such as low planes, over-the-shoulder perspectives, and confined spaces. Its 16-blade diaphragm creates smooth bokeh and, in conjunction with the constant aperture of T1. 5, Provides a clear separation between the subject and the background. The optical design incorporates aspherical, low dispersion (LD) and high refractive index (HR) lens elements for high resolution and reduction of chromatic aberrations. In addition, the lens's multi-layer coating minimizes flare and ghosting, improving the contrast of images.

The diaphragm blades have been enlarged from 14 to 16 compared to the Simera photo series, producing a smoother, more rounded bokeh and minimizing the "onion rings" effect or jagged highlights. This soft, natural background blur enhances the purity of the image and elevates the artistic aesthetic of each shot.

The matte black anodised interior finish keeps reflectivity below 3.5%, significantly reducing interior reflections from stray light. Made from aerospace-grade aluminum alloy, the Simera-C Series all-metal frame balances strength and lightness. Each lens weighs between 369 and 491 grams, slightly heavier than a 330ml soda can, but with a more compact form factor. This breaks through the traditional limitations of cinema lenses regarding size and weight, allowing for perfect use in handheld camera, gimbal or drone setups. The dust- and splash-resistant interior design ensures reliable performance in even the most challenging shooting environments.

Simera-C's ultra-compact design makes it one of the few cine lens sets compatible with DJI Ronin 4D. When integrated into the DJI FLEX system, complex setups such as low angles, over-the-shoulder tracking, or close-space car interior shots become easy to execute. This compatibility enriches the visual narrative, improving mobility, operability and creative freedom on set.
Perfect Operation
The entire series features a 0.8 MOD gear pitch for the focus and aperture rings, ensuring compatibility with common follow focus systems and cinematic accessories. Consistent gear placement allows for the change of lenses and accessories without the need for recalibration. With the exception of the slightly longer 21mm and 75mm lenses, the remaining focal lengths have a uniform body length of 6.96cm. With similar lengths and weights, changing lenses on stabilizers or slide rails is smooth, reducing the need for rebalancing and increasing shooting efficiency. A 210° focus stroke offers wide precision for manual focusing, with smooth, controlled operation, allowing for subtle focus adjustments or precise control of shallow depth of field.
