This makes many previously impossible photos possible.
Most anamorphic lenses on the market cannot be lifted on drones with weight limitations.
This compactness of the Nanomorph series opens up new possibilities and options for drone pilots.
VARIOUS TYPES OF FLARE
2 Flare options are available, Blue and Amber.
Anamorphic lenses with blue flares are very common in the market and fit perfectly with a sci-fi and cooler vibe.
However, they don't necessarily match human skin tones.
The new amber option we've introduced can offer a warmer, more passionate vibe, suitable for storytelling and day/night shots.
CINEMATIC ANGLE
With a 1.5x squeeze, you'll get a 2.66:1 on a 16:9 sensor after decompression.
Compared to the 1.33x anamorphic lens, the Laowa Nanomorph offers a much more pronounced anamorphic and cinematic appearance.
For 1.8x/2x compression, the lens will be huge and much more image will be wasted when pairing with the 16:9 sensor.
SPHERICAL LENS VS. ANAMORPHIC LENS
The anamorphic lens offers a wider horizontal field of view and a shallower depth of field than spherical lenses.
CINEMATIC OVAL BOKEH
A 1.5x compression ratio also renders the taut oval bokeh that adds an artistic touch to the image.
A compression ratio of 1.5x gives a stronger sense of compression and more oval bokeh.
VERY SHORT FOCUSING DISTANCE
Anamorphic lenses tend to have a closer focusing distance due to the restriction of optical design.
The Nanomorph has one of the shortest focusing distances of any anamorphic lens on the market.
Filmmakers can get very close shots that render a much shallower depth of field and stronger bokeh.
This offers much greater flexibility in framing.
EQUAL GEAR POSITION
The unified gear position allows users to change lenses quickly and without readjusting the focus gear.
