The NiSi 150x150mm Neutral Density MC IR ND64 (1.8) – 6 Stops filter is a neutral density (ND) filter that uniformly reduces the amount of light entering the lens.
ND filters can allow for greater motion blur and image detail, allowing for a large aperture and slow shutter speed.
ND filters are also useful when the contrast between the highlights and shadows is too high to get a quality exposure.
The ND 64 6 stops filter is usually used during the golden hour to create 1 to 2 minute exposures for calm water or clouds.
A 6 Stop is also great for capturing dynamic water while maintaining some texture before golden hour.
NiSi ND filters do not affect image coloration, offer true-to-life colors, and are made of high-quality optical glass (not resin) with nano coating to prevent the loss of any detail.
By using the neutral density filter, the camera is vulnerable to infrared light, which will cast unwanted red color on photos when shooting with a small aperture.
NiSi ND filters have an infrared protective coating layer to eliminate infrared light through the lens to bring back natural, true color.
The NiSi 150mm filter system is great for cameras with lenses that don't have a standard filter thread.

Construction
All NiSi square filters use Nano Coating®, which makes the filters water-repellent and oleophobic for perfect sharpness.
NiSi filters also use IR technology, i.e. the coating that blocks infrared light and therefore eliminates the risk of magenta tint.
