NISI Square Filter 100x100mm MC IR ND4 (0.6) (2 Stops)
The NiSi 100x100mm Neutral Density MC IR ND4 (0.6) – 2 Stops filter is a neutral density (ND) filter that uniformly reduces the amount of light entering the lens.
ND filters can allow for greater motion blur and image detail, allowing for a large aperture and slow shutter speed.
The ND4 2 Stops is commonly used for cascading and capturing water flow at shutter speeds from 0.25 seconds to 2 seconds.
The NiSi filter 100x100mm Neutral Density MC IR ND4 (0.6) – 2 Stops reduces light by 4 times without changing colors, thus allowing you to increase the shutter speed 4 times (for example, from 1/15" to about 1/4", or from 1/2" to 2 seconds).
NiSi ND filters do not affect image coloration, offer true-to-life colors, and are made of high-quality optical glass (not resin) with nano coating to prevent the loss of any detail. By using the neutral density filter, the camera is vulnerable to infrared light, which will cast unwanted red color on photos when shooting with a small aperture.
NiSi ND filters have an infrared protective coating layer to eliminate infrared light through the lens to bring back natural, true color.
The NiSi 100mm filter system is great for cameras with lenses that have a standard filter thread of 49mm to 95mm.
This 100mmx100mm filter is compatible with the NiSi 100mm filter system.
CONSTRUCTION
All NiSi square filters use Nano Coating®, which makes the filters water-repellent and oleophobic for perfect sharpness.
NiSi filters also use IR technology, i.e. the coating that blocks infrared light and therefore eliminates the risk of magenta tint.
