NISI Square Filter 100x100 mm MC IR ND32 (1.5) (5 Stops)
The NiSi 100x100mm Neutral Density MC IR ND32 (1.5) – 5 Stops filter is a neutral density (ND) filter that uniformly reduces the amount of light entering the lens.
ND filters can allow for greater motion blur and image detail, allowing for a large aperture and slow shutter speed.
The ND32 5 Stops is used during the day outside of golden hour, as bright ambient light requires much more "light blocking".
These can extend exposures for up to 30 seconds -1 minutes during the golden hour with the appropriate settings.
A 5 Stop is also great for capturing dynamic water while retaining some texture before golden hour.
The NiSi filter 100x100mm Neutral Density MC IR ND32 (1.5) – 5 Stops reduces light by 32 times without changing colors, thus allowing you to increase the shutter speed by 32 times (for example, from 1/60" to about 1/2" or from 1/2" to about 15 seconds).
NiSi ND filters do not affect image coloration, offer true-to-life colors, and are made of high-quality optical glass (not resin) with nano coating to prevent the loss of any detail.
By using the neutral density filter, the camera is vulnerable to infrared light, which will cast unwanted red color on photos when shooting with a small aperture.
NiSi ND filters have an infrared protective coating layer to eliminate infrared light through the lens to bring back natural, true color.
The NiSi 100mm filter system is great for cameras with lenses that have a standard filter thread of 49mm to 95mm.
CONSTRUCTION
All NiSi square filters use Nano Coating®, which makes the filters water-repellent and oleophobic for perfect sharpness.
NiSi filters also use IR technology, i.e. the coating that blocks infrared light and therefore eliminates the risk of magenta tint.
