Reliable transmission and remote operation
Built-in 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi, together with our C3 Portal (paid) or XDCAM Pocket apps, allows for simple, high-quality streaming directly from the camera. Remote operation via our Monitor and Control app allows you to check angles and monitor footage from your smartphone or tablet. The NX800 is ideal for individual operators who want a simple, high-speed workflow.
1.0-type Exmor CMOS sensor
For imaging performance that would not otherwise be possible in a compact camcorder, the NX800 features a large 1.0-type Exmor RS CMOS image sensor of approximately 14.0 megapixels (effective). Its unique stacked structure, with backlit pixels layered on top of integrated signal processing circuitry, allows for faster read speeds and superior low-light performance as more light reaches the sensor.
BIONZ XR Image Processing
Built into the image sensor, our next-generation BIONZ XR image processor enables higher frame rates, faster autofocus, improved Auto Tracing White Balance (ATW) control, and superior noise reduction. Extract maximum performance from the high-resolution image sensor, effortlessly capturing the subtlest textures and finest details. 5K oversampling with full-pixel readout condenses a wide range of image information into a stunning 4K (3840 x 2160) 60p video.
Improved white balance accuracy
The NX800's Auto Tracking (ATW) White Balance control has evolved along with the features of BIONZ XR and AI. The camera's AI processing unit enables more precise ATW control, even in challenging lighting conditions, such as when the target person is in shadow.
