THE MOST COMPLETE CAMERA FOR LIVE PRODUCTION!

Introducing the world's most advanced studio camera!
Blackmagic Studio Cameras have the same features as larger studio cameras, but miniaturized in a compact, portable design.
Thanks to the dynamic range and color science of digital cinema cameras, Studio Cameras deliver cinematic images even in unfavorable lighting conditions.
At ISO 25,600, the sensor produces incredible images, even in dimly lit places.
It also works well only under the light of the moon!
Advanced features include talkback, tally, camera control, built-in color corrector, Blackmagic RAW recording to USB drives and more.
And you can even add zoom and focus demands to control lenses.

TWO EXTRAORDINARY MODELS!

Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K Plus
Designed as the perfect studio camera for ATEM Mini, this model features a 4K sensor with ISO up to 25,600, MFT lens mount, HDMI output, 7" LCD with lens hood, built-in color correction and USB recording.

Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K Pro
Designed for professional SDI and HDMI switchers, it includes all the features of the Plus model, plus 12G-SDI, professional XLR audio, brighter HDR LCD, 5-pin talkback, and 10G Ethernet/IP.

BUILT FOR LIVE PRODUCTION

While the Blackmagic Studio Camera is designed for live production, it's not just restricted to live switchers.
That's because it records Blackmagic RAW to USB discs, so it can be used in any situation where you would use a tripod.
The 7" display makes it perfect for work such as talk shows, television productions, television news, sports, education, conferences and even weddings.
The wide, bright monitor, with side handles, touch screen, and physical controls, makes it easy to track shots, making it comfortable to use for long periods of time.
Because it's so lightweight, it's perfect when you're always changing locations and doing different types of work.

REVOLUTIONARY DESIGN

Large broadcasters use huge, expensive, and hard-to-transport studio cameras.
Differentiated, the Blackmagic Studio Camera includes all the advantages of a large studio camera because it brings camera and viewfinder together in a single compact design.
It features a lightweight carbon fiber-reinforced polycarbonate body with innovative technology in a miniaturized design.
The camera is designed for live production, so it's easy to track and frame shots on the large 7" viewfinder.
The touchscreen has menus for camera settings, and there are buttons for brightness, contrast and focus peaking.
In addition, a tripod mount with mounting plate is included for quick installation.

EXCELLENT LOW-LIGHT PERFORMANCEIn advanced cameras, ISO is a measurement of the image sensor's sensitivity to light.
This means that the higher the ISO, the more gain can be added.
In this way, it is possible to record in natural light or even at night.
Blackmagic Studio Camera gain ranges from -12 dB (ISO 100) to +36 dB (ISO 25,600), which means it's optimized to reduce grain and noise in images while maintaining the full dynamic range of the sensor.
The primary native ISO is 400, ideal for use under studio lighting.
The high base secondary ISO of 3200 is perfect in low-light environments.
Gain can be set in-camera, or remotely from a switcher using the SDI or Ethernet camera remote control.

CINEMATIC IMAGES IN LIVE PRODUCTIONS

The incredible 4K sensor, combined with Blackmagic's fifth-generation color science, offers the same imaging technology used in digital film cameras.
Therefore, you can now use cinematic images in live productions.
Plus, when combined with the built-in DaVinci Resolve primary color corrector, you get images far superior to those of simple broadcast cameras.
The broker can even be controlled from the switcher.
With 13 stops of dynamic range, the camera has darker blacks and brighter whites, perfect for color correction.
The sensor has a resolution of 3840 x 2160, which is great for both HD and Ultra HD work.
In addition, all models support 23.98 to 60 fps.

AFFORDABLE PHOTOGRAPHIC LENSES

With the popular MFT lens mount, Blackmagic Studio Cameras are compatible with a wide range of affordable photographic lenses.
Photographic lenses have incredible quality, as they are developed for use in high-resolution photography.
In addition, the active lens mount allows you to adjust the lens remotely.
To eliminate the need to stretch your hands to adjust the lens's zoom and focus, optional zoom and focus demands allow adjustment from the tripod handle, as with the largest studio cameras.
This allows you to avoid camera shake when adjusting the lens, and you can track shots and operate the unit without taking your hands off the tripod.
It's as if you were using a high-cost B4 broadcast lens!

FRAME WITH LARGE 7" DISPLAY

The 7" high-resolution screen will totally transform the way you work with the camera, as it's large enough to make framing much easier.
The Pro model has a very high-brightness HDR display, perfect outdoors in bright sunlight.
Screen overlays show status, recording parameters, histogram, focus and peaking indicators, levels, framing guides, and more.
You can even apply 3D LUTs to track shots with the colors and look you want.
The touch screen also includes menus where you can load and customize presets for different jobs.
The included lens hood is foldable and protects the screen during transport.
And it's compatible with Blackmagic Studio Viewfinder hoods.

PHYSICAL AND TOUCHSCREEN CONTROLS

Blackmagic Studio Cameras have physical buttons and knobs, as well as touch screen controls.
The knobs on the right side of the camera allow you to adjust brightness, contrast, and focus peaking.
The focus peaking knob is extremely useful, as it allows fine adjustments when highlighting details.
So you can get the perfect focus as you zoom.
The 3 buttons on the left can be configured as zebra, false color, focus peaking, LUTs, and more.
Also, in the menus, you can change the role assigned to each button.
The screen also includes a heads-up display with the most important shooting information, as well as menus for all camera settings, LUTs, and custom presets.

INTEGRATED SIGNALING FOR "ON AIR" STATUS

Blackmagic Studio Cameras have a large tally light that lights up red to indicate "in the air", green for preview and orange for ISO recording.
Transparent numbering slots are included so that talent can identify camera numbers up to 6 meters.
Blackmagic Studio Cameras support the SDI tally standard used on all ATEM production switchers and the HDMI standard used on ATEM Mini switchers.
Thus, a director can cut between the cameras and the tally information will be sent back to the cameras by the SDI program return feed, turning on the cue light on the camera whenever it is on air.
SDI signage eliminates complex wiring, so installation is faster.

INTERCOMMUNICATION WITH THE DIRECTOR

Unlike home cameras, the Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K Pro model has SDI connections that include talkback so the switcher operator can communicate with the cameras at live events.
This means that the director can speak to camera operators and guide shot selection, eliminating the risk of all cameras capturing the same shot at the same time.
The talkback connector is integrated into the side of the camera and supports professional 5-pin XLR headsets.
The intercom uses audio channels 15 and 16 in the SDI connection between the camera and the switcher, and in the program return from the switcher to the camera.
This means that any SDI audio device can utilize talkback.

ADVANCED PROFESSIONAL CONNECTIONS
Studio Cameras have several connections for both professional and domestic equipment.
All models include HDMI with tally, camera control and record triggering, so they're perfect for ATEM Mini switchers.
There are headphone and microphone connections, as well as 2 USB-C expansion ports.
The Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K Pro is designed for professional use, with 12G-SDI, 10G BaseT Ethernet, talkback and balanced XLR audio inputs.
10G Ethernet offers video, tally, talkback, and camera power through a single connection, so setup is much faster.
It's like an SMPTE fiber workflow, but it uses a Cat 6A copper Ethernet cable, so the cost is much lower.

FOUR WAYS TO CONNECT

Blackmagic Studio Cameras can be connected in a number of different ways.
All models include HDMI, so they're perfect for HDMI switchers like ATEM Mini.
HDMI supports video, tally, control, and recording triggering for a professional workflow using a single HDMI cable.
The Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K Pro has 12G-SDI so you can connect it to SDI switchers like ATEM Constellation.
There is a 12G-SDI connection for camera video and another for program return.
The return includes signaling, talkback and remote camera control.
Or you can use 10G Ethernet to get camera video, program return, tally, talkback, camera control, and even power using a Cat 6A Ethernet cable.

Connect via HDMI: On the HDMI output, you can connect switchers like ATEM Mini. In addition, the HDMI connection supports sending tally, color corrector control, and shooting recording returning to the camera from the switcher.

Connect via SDI: The SDI model uses the SDI output and SDI program return for two-way talkback between the camera and any ATEM SDI switcher.
Signaling and control are also sent to the camera via SDI program return.

Connect via Ethernet: The 10G Ethernet connection allows all camera signals and power to be carried over a single Cat 6A copper Ethernet cable.
This includes the camera video, program return, tally, talkback, camera control, and more.

Connect via USB Disk: It's even possible to record without a switcher as the large screen makes the camera fantastic for shooting while recording Blackmagic RAW to a USB flash drive.
With the large screen, framing shots is a breeze!

LOW-COST SDI CAMERA CONTROL
All ATEM switchers can control cameras through a protocol built into the camera's SDI video connections.
Setup is easy because all ATEM switchers transmit control commands from the switcher's SDI program output to the camera via the SDI program input.
The switcher can do color correction, tagging, and lens control, and send these commands to all cameras.
Just select the correct camera number and everything works.
Even ATEM Mini switchers can control the Studio Cameras because the HDMI output to the switcher communicates the return data that can then send the control information back to the camera.
Thus, the camera operator is free to concentrate on framing the images.

AFFORDABLE SMPTE FIBER STYLE WORKFLOW

The Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K Pro model supports connecting cameras via a single Ethernet cable.
It's very simple. Just plug in and you're done!
Ordinary professional studio cameras use SMPTE fiber for communication and power, however, SMPTE fiber is very expensive.
The Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K Pro has 10G Ethernet as an alternative to SMPTE fiber, so the cost is much lower.
Ethernet includes camera video, program return feeds, tally, talkback, camera control, and also power.
Blackmagic Studio Converter handles all of the switcher's video conversions, as well as adding power to the Ethernet cable.
This means that you don't need to connect power to the camera.

EXPANSION PORT FOR ACCESSORIES

The Blackmagic Studio Camera has a high speed USB-C expansion port that allows you to record to external drives or connect a wide range of accessories.
Plug in an external USB flash disk and the camera can record high quality 12-bit Blackmagic RAW files for editing and color correction later. Simply move the disk to a computer to get to work, without wasting time copying files.
You can even connect optional zoom and focus demands for complete lens control.
In addition, the USB port will power any connected mobile phone or disk.

AMAZING BLACKMAGIC RAW QUALITYBlackmagic RAW is a revolutionary new format designed to capture and preserve the quality of your camera's sensor data.
Highly compressed formats, such as H.264, add noise and artifacts, causing the definitive loss of sensor detail.
Blackmagic RAW eliminates this problem and delivers stunning images with incredible detail and rich color throughout all stages of post-production.
It also records camera settings as metadata, so you can change ISO, white balance and exposure later in DaVinci Resolve.
The files are small, fast, and offer an incredible response in editing.
Only Blackmagic RAW gives you the highest quality, the smallest files and the fastest performance.

INTEGRATED MICROPHONES

Blackmagic Studio Cameras have built-in microphones so you can pick up audio from the unit itself and speed up assembly.
Plus, the microphones are wind and impact resistant, so you get perfect sound even in harsh conditions.
With microphones positioned at the edges of the screen, the Studio Camera's design provides superior stereo separation than conventional camcorders.
There's also a 3.5mm audio jack for connecting microphones for video cameras, as well as a 3.5mm jack for headphones.
On the Blackmagic Studio Camera Pro model, there are professional XLR audio inputs and a built-in speaker to accompany the program return audio.

BEST CAMERA AUDIO IN THE WORLD

Because the most common place to place microphones is near the cameras, the Pro model includes the best audio ever projected on a studio camera.
This is even more important for remote cameras.
The 2-channel balanced professional XLR inputs support +24 dBu at line level and include a P48 phantom-powered ultra-low noise mic preamp and -131 dBV(A) equivalent input noise (EIN).
There are also two analog-to-digital converters with 117 dB and high dynamic range, so you get the high-level audio demanded by broadcasters and sound engineers.
This means that any microphone connected to the XLR inputs will have a higher noise level than the camera's audio.

MONITOR PROGRAM VIDEOThe Blackmagic Studio Camera lets you watch the switcher program video at the touch of a button.
Simply press the unit's PGM button and the viewfinder will switch from the camera display to the switcher's program return feed.
In addition, the built-in speaker allows you to follow along with the audio from the switcher.
Program feedback is a fantastic feature, as in large live programs camera operators can be waiting a long time for their unit to be used.
Thus, the return allows them to watch the program while waiting.
This means that even if camera operators are a long way away from the switcher, they can still keep track of what's happening and stay alert.

POWERED BY BLACKMAGIC OSWith advanced Blackmagic OS, you get an intuitive, easy-to-use camera operating system based on the latest technology.
It's truly modern and all camera functions operate independently for more fluid control, with near-instant start-up.
It includes the same controls and menus as other Blackmagic cameras so you can move from one camera to the next on set with ease.
The interface uses simple touch and swipe gestures to adjust settings, enter metadata, and view recording status.
There's also full control of advanced camera features like on-screen focus and exposure tools, 3D LUTs, HDR, metadata entry, timecode, Blackmagic RAW settings, and more.

SUPPORTS 3D LUTS FOR CINEMA LOOKS

When Blackmagic RAW files use logarithmic film gamma to preserve the camera's dynamic range, 3D LUTs can be used so that the images in the viewfinder don't look dull and desaturated.
3D LUTs avoid this problem by converting the image just before it is displayed on the LCD.
This allows the film-gamma images being recorded to be converted into more beautiful images on the LCD.
3D LUTs are also saved in Blackmagic RAW files so they can be used later in post-production, but they are never burned into Blackmagic RAW image data, so you always have the option to disable them.
This means that the 3D LUT is carried over in the Blackmagic RAW file, but is only used when you enable it.

LOCALIZED IN 11 POPULAR LANGUAGES

Blackmagic Studio Cameras are designed for international use and support 11 popular languages.
When setting up your camera, you can choose to work in English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Russian, Turkish, Chinese, Japanese, or Korean.
It's easy to change to another language by going into the menu settings.
When switching between languages, all screen overlays, setup menus, and heads-up display will be displayed in the selected language, which can be switched whenever you wish.

POWERED BY DC ETHERNET 10G

There are several different power options for Blackmagic Studio Cameras.
All models include a lockable DC 12V power connector so that the cable is not accidentally removed.
The camera also has a power supply with 5 AC power adapters for several countries.
If you are using a single Ethernet cable to connect to the Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K Pro model, both the camera and accessories can be powered by the Ethernet connection.
The Blackmagic Studio Converter has a large power supply that adds PoE power to the Ethernet cable, so no power connection is required to the camera.
This is a great solution when there is no power available where the cameras are installed.
