This small 4K UHD studio camera is designed for live productions and has been updated to feature the same image sensor found in Blackmagic's Studio 4K Plus G2 Camera, which supports 3840x2160p60. The camera is equipped with an active MFT mount that can accept native MFT lenses or be adapted to a wide range of other modern and vintage lenses. It produces 10-bit 4:2:2 video via 12G-SDI and can be controlled remotely from an ATEM switcher using the SDI control protocol. The camera packs many professional studio features into a compact form factor, including a built-in color corrector, program return, talkback, and tally indicator.

Compact size for live productions
The Blackmagic Micro Studio 4K Camera G2 is the perfect solution for putting cameras on set when you don't have room for full-size cameras. It includes the popular MFT lens mount, a 4K low-light image sensor, and cinematic color science. So it's small, but it has the features of a full-size studio camera! It gets 12G-SDI for HD and UHD 4K operation up to 2160p60. You can control the built-in color corrector and lens using the SDI and HDMI connections. It can even burn Blackmagic RAW to USB disks. Plus, Blackmagic Micro Studio goes far beyond log gamma broadcast quality, allowing you to create cinematic color corrected looks, all in camera.

Designed for live production
The Micro Studio Camera's small size makes it virtually invisible, so you can place it anywhere on set. You can have more camera angles than ever before for your live production to create a more interesting show. Its professional broadcast connections make it perfect for any type of work, such as television production, news broadcasting, sports, education, conference centers, and churches. Now it's easy to hide many cameras on stage for the most amazing shorts. While the Blackmagic Micro is designed for live production, it can also be used with editing software as it can record Blackmagic RAW to USB disks for later editing and color correction.

Low-light performance
On advanced cameras, ISO is a measure of the image sensor's sensitivity to light, which means that the higher the ISO, the more gain can be added so you can shoot in natural light or even at night. The Blackmagic Micro Studio Camera features gain from -12dB (100 ISO) to +36dB (25,600 ISO), That's why it's optimized to reduce grain and noise in images, while maintaining the sensor's full dynamic range. The main native ISO is 400, ideal for use under studio lighting, so the secondary high-base ISO of 3200 is perfect when shooting in dimly lit environments. Gain can be set from the camera's HDMI menu or remotely from a switcher using the camera's SDI/HDMI remote control.

Cinematic images in live production
The incredible 4K sensor combined with Blackmagic Gen 5 color science gives you the same imaging technology used in digital film cameras, which means you can now use cinematic images for live production. Plus, when combined with the built-in DaVinci Resolve primary color corrector, you get much better images than simple broadcast cameras. The color corrector can even be controlled by the switcher. With 13 Dynamic range points, the camera has darker blacks and brighter whites, perfect for color correction. The sensor has a resolution of 4096 x 2160, which is great for HD and Ultra HD work. In addition, the Blackmagic Micro Studio Camera 4K G2 supports 23.98 fps to 60 fps.

Affordable Photo Lenses
With the popular MFT lens mount, the Blackmagic Micro Studio Camera is compatible with a wide range of affordable photographic lenses from Olympus, Panasonic, Sigma and more. Photo lenses offer incredible quality because they are designed for use in high resolution photography. In addition, the active lens mount allows you to adjust the lens remotely. It allows you to adjust high-mounted cameras in hard-to-reach areas without the  In addition, optional focus and zoom demands allow you to adjust the lens like a large studio camera. This means you can set important lens settings such as focus, zoom and iris in the same way you would with an expensive B4 broadcast lens.

Integrated registration
The Blackmagic Micro Studio 4K Camera has an indicator light that lights up red for on-air broadcasting, green for viewing and orange for ISO recording. This makes it easy for talent to present themselves with confidence because they know at a glance which camera is on air. You get full support for the SDI and HDMI tally protocol from switchers like ATEM Television Studio,  This means that a director can switch between cameras and the tally information will be sent back to the cameras, turning on the camera's tally light whenever it is live on air. Since the tally is sent via the SDI and HDMI connections to the camera, Complex cabling is eliminated.

Blackmagic RAW Quality

Blackmagic OS
Blackmagic OS is a truly modern operating system where all camera features run independently for smoother control and the camera turns on virtually instantly. Menus are overlaid on the HDMI video output. The interface uses the row of buttons on the front of the camera to access menus and adjust settings so it's always accessible. even when installed in tight quarters. You also get full control over advanced camera features such as on-screen focus and exposure tools, 3D LUTs, HDR, metadata input, timecode, Blackmagic RAW settings and more.
