By using the cinematic vlog setting and choosing a look and mood, you can create cinematic vlog footage that matches the scene and your creative intent.
The overall cinematic feel is further enhanced by the use of a 24fps7 frame rate and the widescreen (2.35:1)8 Cinemascope picture ratio with black bands above and below the image.

A compact precision stabilization unit and gyro sensors, plus optimized algorithms to achieve stabilization of up to 5.0 increments.
Dynamic Active Mode further improves stability by up to 30% compared to the previous one, while Frame Stabilizer automatically maintains the subject's position in the frame using Active Dynamic Mode and AI-based Subject Recognition.
AI-BASED AUTO-FRAMING FOR MOVIES
Automatically adjust the frame to highlight the main subject
Using AI-based subject recognition technology, the auto-frame function automatically crops the frame to keep the subject in a prominent position when shooting movies.
Even if the camera is mounted on a tripod, the framing is continuously adjusted so that it looks like the subject was being followed by an experienced cameraman during the recorded shoot.
REAL-TIME RECOGNITION AF
Human pose estimation using a skeleton-based model.
The new AI processing unit, the ZV-E1, uses object shape data to recognise movement and sees a 60% improvement in human eye recognition.
Human pose estimation technology recognizes the position of the body and head and tracks an object even if it is far away or wearing a mask.
CAPTURE ACTION IN SUPERHUMAN DETAIL
When playing slow-motion or fast-motion movies in S&Q15 mode with the XAVC S-I format at 60p, a maximum bitrate of 600 Mbps (4:2:2 10-bit, H.264, All-I)16 delivers an incredible picture.
With the XAVC S format, up to 10x slow-motion output is possible at Full HD resolution at 240fps (24p recording), giving new perspectives on dynamic sports and other types of action.
CREATIVE ZOOM CONTROL
The zoom lever at the top of the grip controls compatible power zoom lenses and enables Clear Image Zoom for both non-power lenses and prime lenses, which can reduce the number of lenses required for shooting.
RECORD THE VOICE OF THE MAIN SUBJECT CLEARLY, WHEREVER YOU WANT
The intelligent 3-capsule microphone picks up clear audio, including the voice of your main subject. Depending on your pickup, you can set the microphone directivity to forward, backward, all directions, or auto.
10-BIT 4:2:2 RECORDING ON CAMERA
The ZV-E1 can record 10-bit 4:2:2 video internally when using Long GOP or All Intra compression, making it possible to achieve fuller, more natural gradations while offering greater editing freedom.
S-GAMUT3. CINE/S-LOG3 AND S-GAMUT3/SLOG3
S-Log3 offers improved reproduction of gradations from shadow to midtones (18% grey).
Color spaces include S-Gamut3, which has better reproduction than S-Gamut, and S-Gamut3.Cine, a color space to offer a look similar to digitized cinema film.
IMPORT AND USE CUSTOM LUT FILES
User LUT (.cube format) files can be imported into image profiles to create a specific look.
The look is recorded in-camera, so colour correction in post-processing can be minimised or eliminated.
FLEXIBLE ISO FOR GREATER FREEDOM OF EXPOSURE
Flexible ISO is an S-Log3 shooting mode that allows the ISO sensitivity to change with the brightness of the scene by manually setting the aperture and shutter speed.
The ISO can be set to AUTO or manually between 640 and 102400 (160 and 409600 in Expanded ISO mode) for optimal exposure.

Swiping the left or right side of the screen reveals function touch icons at the top that control shooting mode, cinematic vlog setting, and more.
The function menu (Fn) can be displayed by swiping up on the screen.
Other improvements include exposure compensation and white balance touch control icons added to the F, shutter speed and ISO stop icons at the bottom of the screen.
