The LUMIX S1II features a state-of-the-art partially stacked CMOS sensor — a first from LUMIX — delivering ultra-fast readout speeds and exceptionally detailed playback. This is also the first camera in the LUMIX S series to feature Dynamic Range Boost, delivering smoother gradations and richer, more expressive videos.
A complete set of video formats with 5.1K 60p open-port recording
This camera is designed for creators with a vision and comes with advanced video recording formats. Thanks to a state-of-the-art partially stacked CMOS sensor with high-speed readout, it supports 6K 30p (3:2) and 5.1K 60p (3:2) open-port recording, high-frame-rate C4K/4K 120p video, along with oversampled 4K video that offers exceptional resolution and low noise. It opens up new creative possibilities for filmmakers and content creators.
Superior autofocus with advanced AI recognition technology
Equipped with the Hybrid Phased AF system that delivers high speed, accuracy and tracking performance, the LUMIX S1II takes autofocus to the next level. With advanced AI technology, the camera can accurately recognize and focus on eyes and faces, even in challenging conditions where faces are tilted or partially obscured. The system now includes Urban Sports recognition, allowing the camera to maintain precise focus on your subject, even in dynamic performance scenes. In addition, the Motorcycle mode has evolved into the Motorcycle/Bicycle recognition mode.
Active I.S. technology
Enjoy stable framing for stills and videos, even when shooting handheld or recording. When recording videos, the camera significantly reduces the shake and perspective distortion that often occurs in scenes where people are walking. There's also a cropless mode that works well for wide-angle shots.

LUMIX's unique colour science, based on its "Capture Everything" image-making philosophy, works in harmony with a state-of-the-art 24.1MP partially stacked CMOS sensor to capture fleeting moments in rich, expressive detail. The REAL-TIME LUT function also allows you to explore your own creative style. HEIF recording is now available as an option, adding extra flexibility to your workflow. High Resolution mode also lets you capture 96MP equivalent images, even when shooting handheld, for exceptional detail without sacrificing mobility.
Fastest LUMIX S series: AFC continuous shooting at 70 fps
With a state-of-the-art partially stacked CMOS sensor that enables high-speed reading, the camera offers AFC continuous shooting at approximately 10 fps using the mechanical shutter. Switch to the SH Continuous Shooting or SH Continuous Pre-shooting modes of the electronic shutter and you can capture important moments at up to 70fps, even during fast-moving moments such as sports, wildlife or vehicles. The viewfinder and monitor remain blackout-free, allowing for secure framing with support for later viewing.
A tilting, free-angle monitor
A tilting, free-angle rear monitor lets you compose photos on the optical axis. You can rotate the monitor while the cable is connected, making it extremely useful for video production. When shooting outdoors, the high-resolution OLED viewfinder with approximately 5,760k-dots supports natural framing.
Compact body without compromising operability
Designed with ergonomics in mind, every button, switch and joystick is carefully positioned for intuitive use. A compact and refined design has been achieved, with a weight of approximately 800 g, without compromising operability. An operation lock lever helps prevent accidental adjustments.
Built to withstand extreme temperatures between -10°C and 40°C
The LUMIX S1II is designed to operate in temperatures as low as -10°C, and has also been verified for operation in temperatures as high as 40°C. Even in harsh environments, this camera will support your passion for flawless photography and video recording.
Compatible with a variety of recording media
The LUMIX S1II is equipped with a dual card slot. Slot 1 is compatible with CFexpress Type B cards, enabling smooth shooting of high-speed continuous shooting photos and high-bitrate video. It also supports direct recording to USB-SSD, giving you the flexibility to choose the recording medium that best suits your needs.
Compatible with a wide range of applications and software
The LUMIX S1II supports a wide variety of software, from everyday use to production. This includes the LUMIX Lab app, which allows you to edit and upload content in one step; Capture One, used by professional photographers; LUMIX Flow, an application that makes video production more accessible; and Frame.io Camera to Cloud, a cloud-based service that allows you to share and collaborate on content.
