PANASONIC LUMIX GH7
PANASONIC LUMIX GH7
Equipped with a 25.2 MP BSI CMOS sensor with PDAF, with internal ProRes RAW HQ recording and the world's first 32-bit floating recording, LUMIX's flagship hybrid camera allows you to produce high-quality, efficient content with minimal setup.
Internal ProRes RAW HQ recording
5.7K 30p ProRes HQ RAW recording** can be recorded on the camera body itself, giving you the freedom to capture the moment at the click of a button, with minimal setup and no external devices required. The gimbal's improved compatibility also expands the range of expressions.
**Recording to SD card is not possible. ・Apple and ProRes are trademarks or registered trademarks of Apple Inc. in the United States and/or other countries.
The world's first 32-bit floating recording***
When combined with the DMW-XLR2 (sold separately), the LUMIX GH7 delivers the world's first 32-bit floating recording*, improving the quality and efficiency of the entire workflow. With its wide dynamic range, the 32-bit floating format records more information, from low sounds to loud sounds, eliminating the need for tedious sound level adjustments during audio recording. Video and music can be managed in a single file, making post-production much more efficient.
For an interchangeable-lens digital camera, starting June 5, 2024. According to Panasonic's research. When used with the XLR Microphone Adapter DMW-XLR2 (sold separately).
Proxy video recording
This new feature records a low-bitrate proxy file when recording the video. Simultaneously record a proxy file linked to the original video recording, allowing for faster delivery from production to publishing. In addition, the LUT file can be applied to proxy videos using the REALTIME LUT function.
Adobe Camera to Cloud compatibility
The LUMIX GH7 camera is now natively integrated with Frame.io Camera to Cloud, the leading cloud-based collaboration platform that allows users to share and collaborate while editing photos and videos. By connecting the camera to the Internet via Wi-Fi or USB tethering, you can automatically upload images (JPEG/RAW) and proxy videos directly from the camera to the Frame.io platform. This integration allows editors and collaborators to access recordings or images, connecting the production process to post-production, enabling a much more efficient content creation process.
Direct recording to USB-SSD
The LUMIX GH7 supports recording and playback to an external SSD via USB. In addition, the ability to record in ProRes RAW HQ and 4:2:2 10-bit All-Intra directly to SSDs, which combines portability and high capacity, optimizes data backup and post-processing efficiency.
Wireless Live Streaming / USB Tethering (RTMP/RTMPS)
Enjoy creative live streaming with single-lens digital mirrorless cameras, both indoors and outdoors. Live streaming (RTMP/RTMPS protocol) can be easily set up via the LUMIX Sync app (Android/iOS). In environments with a lot of radio interference, stable communication speed can be ensured by connecting the camera via USB to a smartphone.
Wired live streaming (RTP/RTSP)
Enjoy highly stable communication via IP transmission (RTP/RTSP) via a wired LAN connection indoors. By connecting cameras and PCs via wired LAN cable, multiple cameras can be controlled for high-quality video and audio delivery up to 4K 60p/50p. H.264 and H.265 codecs can be selected.
Real-time LUT
LUTs can be applied to photos and videos on the camera body itself, allowing you to create photos and videos directly from the camera. Supports ". VLT" and ". CUBE". By using this feature, you can save time in the complicated post-editing process. In combination with the LUMIX Lab app, you can easily create your own LUTs and install them on the camera.
LEICA Monochrome
Leica is well known for its superior image quality and has a reputation from users around the world for its excellent representation and expressiveness. Through our collaboration with L2 Technology, we have learned the imaging philosophy that Leica has built over its long history and understand this mode as one of the new expressiveness of the LUMIX camera. It presents deep contrasts between black and white.
100MP manual high-resolution mode
The LUMIX GH7's high-resolution mode supports manual recording, using the in-body image stabilization (B.I.S.) mechanism to deflect the sensor while capturing 16 consecutive images. It then selects the most stable multiple images and automatically synthesizes them into a file equivalent to 100 megapixels (11,552 x 8,672 pixels). This allows you to capture beautiful natural landscapes and detailed artwork in ultra-high resolution without using a tripod.
Phased Hybrid AF
The most important thing about autofocus is being able to count on it. In addition to Contrast AF, the LUMIX GH7 offers the phase-detection AF system, which dramatically improves subject tracking performance and measurement technologies. The camera can capture the subject even in challenging scenes where multiple subjects are involved, providing accuracy even in backlit environments or in low light conditions.
Producing high-quality content
The LUMIX GH7 incorporates a completely new image sensor. The new 25.2-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor delivers richer tone expression and enhanced AF performance through phase-detection AF, helping you produce high-quality content.
Richer tone expression
The Dynamic Range Boost function takes two types of images in a single exposure and synthesizes them in real time to create composite images with a dynamic tonal range, even in scenarios with significant brightness differences. For stills, it allows for richer expression of shadow tones in RAW data. For video, it allows you to record 13+ V-Log/V-Gamut. It achieves a wide dynamic range in all ISO sensitivity ranges.
Unlimited 4:2:2 video recording time C4K/4K 60p/50p 10-bit
Offering 4:2:2 C4K/4K 60p/50p 10-bit internal recording, the LUMIX GH7 features unlimited recording time when used at the recommended operating temperature. Ideal for small production teams and for demanding conditions where mobility and high quality are essential. It also allows simultaneous internal and external recording via the HDMI output.
