You can also shoot at 20fps and capture over 1000 images at full resolution in a single burst at high speed. Pre-unlock image capture

A new way to deliver RAW images
Control image quality without having to sacrifice transfer speeds. The Z9 allows you to work with a new, high-efficiency RAW file format. The files retain the same level of detail as the uncompressed RAW format, but at a third of the size of the standard RAW file.
Faster and more fluid process
The Z9 adapts to any workflow. The dual card slots accept CFexpress Type B cards, giving you approx. 2x the write speed of cameras using the Type A cards. Perfect for shooting or ultra-high-speed 8K video recording. In-camera GPS records UTC time stamps in the image data, and advanced network options make brief work of large files. Transfer speeds are the fastest in the field.
Remote production is simple
Seamlessly synchronize shutter release and send information between a main Z9 and a series of remote cameras. You can also synchronize the time of the clock to quickly review the most important moments afterwards, and perfectly synchronize the audio and footage on the destination server.
FTP server that synchronizes with the workflow
Send images from the playing field itself. The Z9 camera's built-in Wi-Fi connection allows you to transfer images directly to an FTP server without the need to use a standalone wireless transmitter. If you can't use a PC, you can connect the Z 9 to a 5G smartphone via USB.

You can record hours of 8K video movies at 30p or record 8.3K RAW video at ultra-smooth 60p resolution. When recording, you'll enjoy full AF/AE and Eye Detection AF. Files are beautifully clean, and Nikon's new N-RAW format makes file sizes controllable.
Cinematic flexibility in 8K
Nikon's N-RAW format allows you to use the Z9's entire sensor to internally record very high-resolution 8.3K (8256×4644) footage. If you don't need the wider format, you can record standard 8K DCI (8192×4320) or 8K UHD (7680×4320) footage.
4K footage at up to 120p resolution
The Z9 also shoots stunning 4K movies across the full width of the sensor. Get absolute clarity in every pixel and file sizes that are easier for the customer. Choose different shooting speeds, including 120p, for silky smooth camera movement.
4K UHD with oversampling from 8K

24-bit sound
With 24-bit sound in linear PCM recording, the Z9 lets you record movies with beautiful dynamic audio. You can also disable the microphone jack to reduce unwanted noise from unused components.
In-camera recording in 12-bit RAW format
Extend the camera's recording range up to 12-bit with ProRes RAW HQ (up to 4K/60p) or Nikon's new N-RAW format (up to 8K/60p and 4K/120p). You can record at 8-bit/10-bit depth in-camera using H.265 (HEVC) or Apple ProRes 422 HQ 10-bit.
Perfect exposure
The camera's waveform monitor makes it easy to find bright zones, dark zones, and points of interest in the frame. N-Log or RAW: Can confirm complicated exposures quickly.
Simple confirmation
The custom i-menu allows you to see key shooting settings on the monitor at the same time. You can also confirm the resolution and shooting speed via the camera's top screen.
No errors
