Equal vertical and horizontal use
The VG-C3EM's body design makes it equally easy to control the camera in both portrait and landscape positions, thanks to the keys and controls that are almost the same as those on the rear of the camera body. For example, the vertical grip has a Multi-Selector for quick AF point selection.
Handle shape for a secure grip
The VG-C3EM has a grip format, which results in a better grip and allows you to shoot vertically with the same confidence as you do horizontally, as the two become virtually the same.
Nearly 2x longer endurance
The VG-C3EM vertical handle houses two NP-FZ100 batteries in its structure. You can look at the camera's LCD monitor to see the percentage (minimum unit of 1%) of charge available on the battery in use on the power indicator. When one battery runs out, the other automatically turns on so that operation continues.
USB charging via camera body
You can charge the batteries housed in the vertical grip via the camera's USB port without having to remove the grip from the camera body.
High-rigidity magnesium for outdoor
Made from the same magnesium alloy used in the α9, this grip is highly rigid and lightweight.
Careful attention to dust/moisture resistant
Equipped with efficient dust and moisture resistant insulation3 applied to the keys and controls, as well as the ports and electrical contacts, for robust use in demanding shooting conditions.
