RODE SmartLav+ Lavalier - Lapel Microphone for Smartphones
The smartLav+ is a broadcast-grade wearable microphone designed for use in a wide range of film, television and broadcast scenarios, or wherever broadcast quality of audio is required in a portable, unobtrusive form factor, without the hassle and expense of additional wireless equipment.
With smartLav+, the user simply mounts the microphone on the talent, connects it to a smartphone or tablet headset, and records via the RØDE Reporter app for iOS or any other audio app of their choice.
By employing a professional-grade omnidirectional condenser capsule, the smartLav+ captures sound equally from the entire microphone, allowing versatility in mounting and ensuring a high degree of user-friendly operation.
A foam popping shield is provided to minimize wind noise and vocal plosives (strong 'b', 't' and 'p' sounds), as well as a durable mounting clip with built-in cable management. Its 1.2 m (4 ft) long Kevlar® reinforced cable ensures that you never stretch or take off the microphone under normal conditions of use.
smartLav+ is compatible with any audio app that accepts input from the headset connection, however, it's designed to pair seamlessly with RØDE's RØDE Reporter app for Apple iOS devices. RØDE Reporter turns the user's iOS device into a fully capable field recorder, with the ability to publish recordings to a variety of platforms directly from the app.
