SONY XLR XLR-K3M Adapter Kit
The Sony XLR-K3M is a dual-channel digital XLR audio adapter that allows you to connect microphones and other audio sources to cameras equipped with a multi-interface shoe.
Launched alongside the a7R IV, which benefits from its built-in digital audio interface, the adapter is able to produce its best quality by delivering a digital audio stream directly to the camera via the Multi Interface Shoe.
Other Sony cameras with the standard MI Shoe can still use the microphone, as there is a selectable digital/analog output.
The XLR-K3M features two XLR-1/4" mic/line combo inputs with 48V phantom power and a 3.5mm stereo input with plug-in power, all with individual level controls.

An ECM-XM1 shotgun is included so you can immediately start recording your YouTube videos, Facebook live streams, and interviews, at home, in the studio, or on the go.
GREAT QUALITY SOUND WITH LOW NOISE
When connected via the Multi Interface Shoe of a compatible camera with a built-in digital audio interface, the audio signal is transferred directly to the camera in digital format, so that no degradation can occur.
A simple switch also allows compatibility with various cameras equipped with an analog interface.
VERSATILE CONNECTIVITY
Two XLR/TRS combo inputs and a 3.5 mm stereo microphone mini jack are provided for input.

FLEXIBLE CONFIGURATION

Audio extension cables are provided, so you can adjust the location of the XLR adapter on the equipment as needed.

Simply attach the XLR adapter to the Multi Interface Shoe on a compatible camera for direct audio and power connections, without the need for additional batteries or cables. Sony's Multi Interface Shoe offers connectivity and intelligent controls for various accessories, so you can enjoy maximum flexibility and mobility when shooting with the α System.
MECHANICAL NOISE SUPPRESSION
An advanced design with shock and vibration suppression effectively minimizes low-frequency handling noise, which can degrade audio quality. The option of direct mounting to the camera, with no additional connection cables, further reduces the risk of handling noise ruining audio capture.
COMPREHENSIVE CONTROL
The ability to control comprehensively during the recording phase can significantly facilitate the post-processing workflow.
Recording level (AUTO/MANUAL), recording level connection (INPUT 1 – INPUT 2), attenuator, and high-pass filter (100/300 Hz) controls are provided.
SUPER-DIRECTIONAL SHOTGUN MICROPHONE INCLUDED
A superdirectional monaural microphone (ECM-XM1) and a fur wind shield with wind noise reduction are provided.
