The Nisi 100x150mm Nano IR Medium GND – ND4 (0.6) – 2 Stops filter is a rectangular filter that helps to darken specific areas of an image, such as clear skies, while allowing a normal and unaffected exposure in the other regions of the image.
The filter is denser at the top edge, with a medium transition line between the dense and light areas.

A neutral density filter with a mid-edge transition line is particularly useful for images that feature buildings, mountains, and other elements jutting out on the horizon.
Medium transition filters have an intermediate transition between the light and dark parts; less pronounced than Hard filters and sharper than Soft filters.
These are essential GND filters for the photographer's kit and are excellent on their own in the case of a line of a composition without clearly defined light and dark areas.
They are also great in combination with Hard or Soft GND filters.
NiSi GND filters do not affect image coloration, offer true-to-life colors, and are made of high-quality optical glass (not resin) with nano coating to prevent the loss of any detail.
By using the neutral density filter, the camera is vulnerable to infrared light, which casts unwanted red color on photos when shooting with a small aperture.
